Has anyone heard about an upcoming ticket price increase?

Last year the prices went up around the end of 2005/very early 2006.......we are thinking about buying a 10 day no-expiration and want to do it before the price goes up (but not sooner than I have to, I don't "need" them now!)

Prices were already raised again this year--back in August or September. My guess is there won't be another increase at least until the Spring of '07.

the lady at the disney store said the prices were going up again on the first that i got mine at the right time to save money ya for that boo for prices going up

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you were saying in the last 10 words in your post?:confused3

I translated it to mean this:
"The lady at the Disney Store said the prices were going up again January 1st and that I was getting mine at the right time to save money. Yay for that, boo for the prices going up."

If they do go up that will be three price hikes in 12 months. It is likely that they will be pushing the breaking point for many.

I hate how they keep increasing prices without substational new attractions. $70 for the Magic Kingdom is more then a bit much. I think $55 would be much mroe reasonable, for the one day , non hopper pass.

I think the point is to make a multi-day ticket all the more enticing, so you'll spend more time in WDW and less at Uni or Sea World. Once they know you are coming to Orlando anyway, far better to get you to spend three or four days rather than just one.

If the public is willing to pay $70, nobody is really going to be driven off over a few dollars more - about the price of a soda in WDW. In any event, what strikes me is that if Disney can get $70 for a one-day ticket to Animal Kingdom, then the Magic Kingdom should be worth $120 or more by comparison. Not that they sell that many AK one-day admissions, of course.

I'm going in May and was planning on buying Annual Passes. I have held off right now because I don't really want to hold the voucher for 6 months. However, if there is an increase, I rather buy them now and hold that voucher until I get to WDW.

Unless of course, you're may go with 12 months of May 2007

Our group of Disney fans believe that by 2010 the price will easily be $100 a day if you buy a one day, one park ticket.

Disneyland first (before 1/13), then WDW. By next Christmas expect to be paying near $75 +tax for a single park, no hopper ticket.

First of the ticket price increases have hit Disneyland. Two day tickets have increased $6, prices on 3 or more day tickets have increased $10. Single day tickets haven't changed yet, but are expected to go up on Monday (rumor says $3 for single park and $5 for two parks).

In other rumors, the "2fer" ticket - buy a ticket for Disneyland, get a DCA ticket for free - is expected to return soon for Southern California and Mexico residents.

To bring pain to our ears as well as to our pocket books, Disneyland is also replacing the soundtracks on 'Space Moutain' and 'California Screamin' with "special" tracks remixed from songs by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. This change will also result in shutting off all of the "space" effects in 'Space Moutain'. It's rumored that the ride will feature concert lighting projected on the interior dome and "sparkle balls".

Yea - nothing says quality family entertainment more than 'Californication' with disco lights...
