Hi. I have a MYW package booked for November, with water park and more added to my park tickets because I remembered that was a requirement for getting the FD last year (or park hopper). I have 3 questions I can't find clear answers to, but I know that on this site, I'll finally get the info. I need. :)

1. If FD comes out, can I just call or go online to add it to my existing reservation (if rooms are available for the promotion for the resort/time I have already booked)?
2. If not, should I book a whole new reservation with the FD, then wait to cancel my existing til I am set with new reservation?
3. If I CAN add the FD directly to my existing package reservation, will it reflect the ticket price increase because I have changed/modified my package by adding FD? IE: am I locked in to current ticket price either way?
Thank you so much for any help you can give.

My understanding is that you will need to book a new reservation. You can hold on to the old one until you are ready to cancel it. I read that some last year waited until a few days later to cancel to avoid the craziness when it first comes out. If ticket prices do increase you will have to pay the new higher rate. I hope this helps.

You cannot add FD to an already booked reservation. You will have to book a new reservation so if ticket prices go up you will be charged the new price.

If any of the new reservation dates fall at the same time as the existing reservation, you will have to cancel the existing reservation first. Then book the new one. This happened to me this last round of discounts. I was on hold with Disney over an hour while I waited for the CM to cancel and rebook my reservation. It was less than magical and I got in as soon as the phone lines opened.

If you already have a package, you should be able to add the discount to your existing package if it qualifies. Because it's already a package you should NOT have to make a new room reservation. You would have to if the reservation was a room-only reservation. But if you make any changes to an existing package after the park ticket increase, you'll also be paying the new price for the tickets.
