Bummer. It would be nice if Disney would be able to not rise the price like the other parks and keep the prices lower than sea world and universal, but ultimately it is a business and they have to make money to run the place I guess. I wonder what the effect on multi-day tickets is.

I heard that 4 and 5 day park hoppers were going up like $10 a piece, but no change to APs. Not sure about LOS.

The one day passes are still a hair shy of the SW and Universal passes. A nickel isn't much, but its a nickel. Ticket prices go up every year (unfortunately).

2000: All raised in January
2001: All raised to $48 in January
2002: Sea World raised to $50 in January, Universal held off to March, and Disney waited til September
2003: Again, Sea World raised to $51.95 in January, then Universal followed, and Disney waited til June 1 to go $52.
2004 Forecast: Sea World will raise in January, like clock work. Universal will follow, then Disney.

Bet all 3 would like to get back to January.

Am I reading the above numbers wrong - or does this mean that the other parks raised their prices once in a 12-month period while Disney is raising theirs only 9 months after they raised prices in Sept. of 2002?

Yeah, you read that right, Seaworld raised their prices after 12 months (Jan. - Jan.), USF after 10 months (March - Jan.), WDW after nine months (Sept. - June). In other words, in 2002 WDW, instead of raising tickets when the other orlando parks did, waited until after the summer season. In 2003, WDW, instead of raising ticket prices when the other two parks did, waited until after the spring break season.
