Ticket Price Changes

OK...Just sharing our experience today. Our PAP actually expired on 2/4...we have our letter stating to renew and we were waiting for no particular reason but to wait. This whole hoo haa happened. I had my DH go on this morning to renew our DVC PAP on the website. We have a paper from January 20th when we were just down in WDW as to the price for that renewal at 549.00 +tax. Guest Services gave it to us as we bought our DD a new Gold Pass. Hers expired on 10/4 if you can imagine...the day the whole AP changes happened and we were in WDW and didn't know what to do at that point with no prices/info etc.

Fast forward to today. On the DVC Website it would only allow us to renew at 635+tax. That was the price! What the Pluto is that?

My DH called MS immediately and told them of the website conflicting pricing....they honored the 549.00 for us with no comment as to why the website was giving the wrong price.

OK...who knows what is going on? If you did not know about the $549 price....people are paying the increased price as of today.

Anyone with thoughts?

Interesting. I bought a Gold Pass online this afternoon at $549, at about 2pm PST. I had to try several times as the website kept giving me errors. I figure it was just typical Disney web site glitches, but who knows.

That was a new purchase correct? That is what it should be on my paper from Guest Services in Jan.

Anyone know what the renewal rate increase was for the "PAP Plus" the one that includes water parks?

If anyone is interested-- looks like the base park ticket dvc 25th anny deal (an additional day) is pretty much the same as UCT.

However, you can use your Disney gift card (min 5% savings using the redcard) to purchase your multi day tickets.

So, I guess I saved 5% over UCT using my dvc 25th year ticket deal. Better than nothin'

I just went online and purchased 2 6-day PHs using the 25th anniversary special. The way the special works with the 5th day free and not a locked-in price, I'm guessing the price increases will flow through t the special. Only about $20 a ticket per the Sentinel article, but every little bit helps!
