Are air miles/ free tickets eligible for upgrading?

Yes they are. We do it often. I haven't heard of anyone not being able to upgrade loyalty tickets.

Okay, I will attempt to use them on arrival day. Does anyone have a guess as to how much it would be to upgrade to an AP (Powerpass) from a 7-day park to park ticket?

those older 7 day passes are no longer in the system.
i had to go to guest services and have a supervisor handle my conversation.
believe the tm at the desk said it needed the supervisor override.

probably what happened when you called is the ones that answer the phone, aren't allowed to do the over rides
if they have no experience with it, they couldn't answer your question.

those 7 day and 5 day passes came out at different times and were a good deal.
some were $79-$89-$99.
my oldest pass is from 2005.

i renew my preferred ap each year since 2003 but bought passes for when i take my kids with me.
i converted all my passes last october so it was a one and down time period i had to do them all.

now i just have to remember where i keep them at home........

I have asked several times both outside and inside GS re upgrading the old 7 day park to park tix to an AP renewal. Last time was in October 2015.

Always same story, value towards another ticket/upgrade is only what i paid for it, $68 thru AAA.

I've tried both ways: using first to enter, then asking & taking unused tix to GS

I've never pressed the point and asked for a manager, figured it was luck of the draw/TM.

inspired here, going to try and remember to take my last one with me in May & see if i finally get lucky.

We recently upgraded the 3 day air miles tickets with no problem. We upgraded the 7 day ones ages ago. I'm not sure how they will handle it now since 7 day tickets are no longer available. Make sure you speak with a manager if you aren't given satisfaction. What they do is check to see what their computer says. If the computer gives them issues, they call in a manager.

I would push for a 4 day ticket and then upgrade that 4 day ticket to an annual pass if they won't just upgrade it right away.

With out that, you get the value of the tickets.

Many request the 4 day p2p and then like damo stated, upgrade that to the power pass.

same time frame i was shut down grrr. May just have to kidnap you in October to 'do battle' for me @ GS if i once again fail miserably in May to try to resolve this.

Not sure what type of military ticket you have. When I got tickets from my ITT office, they were just regular tickets bought at a discount. Hmmm, it might still be worth a try INSIDE the park.
