Ticket pick up

I purchased our tickets for our upcoming trip online from the Disney site. We are staying off site. I am considering picking our tickets up on the day before our first day at the park. Is there any advantage to doing so such as saving time at rope drop? Is there anything preventing me from picking them up on a day we are not going to the parks? Does the whole family have to go the will call to pick up the tickets?

1. Maybe.
2. Nope. (You could pick them up right NOW, if you were at WDW.)
3. Only if these are Annual Passes and/or you are Florida residents. (Even then, only those
18 years and older must be present and show legal ID.)

You could pick them up at the Downtown Disney guest services, where parking is free.

You could save yourself the parking fee if you pick up your tickets at Downtown Disney at one of two Guest Relations facilities there. There's a Guest Relations outlet at the DisneyQuest bldg on the west side, and another Guest Relations facility next to Ghiradelli Ice Cream shop on the east side. They stay open until 11pm. Slightly later on weekends. Bring your ID with you.

Also either of the two water parks. Parking particularly in the afternoon will be easier.

DTD parking is bad to start with and only gets worse as the day goes on.
