I will be in Long Beach and decided to go to DL for the day. We have only done multiple days so I am a bit lost. I am going solo so a little more concerned about safety. I am only doing Disneyland and DTD. There is not enough at DCA to spend the extra money for a hopper or MaxPass.

If I log into my Disney experience, can I buy my one day ticket and use the ticket thru my phone? I don’t have a printer right now.

I assume Mickey and Friends parking is the best place to park. California Adventure opens at 7am so I think parking will be opening at 5:30. I am going to try to be there before 7, is that early enough?Where does the tram drop you off? I am thinking of taking the tram in but walking back thru DTD after the Eletrical Parade. I assume I will be as safe walking back to my car as walking to a hotel.

I am thinking of going to DTD our a hotel for dinner about 5:30. Any suggestions or would it be better to stay in DL until after the parade?

Thanks for any help.

Yes, just buy your ticket in the app, they will scan it at the gate and then issue you a paper ticket as well which you’ll need for regular Fast Pass. As a solo traveler you should also take advantage of Single Rider lines for sure.

There are more solo travelers in the park than you think ;) I have solo'd several times and have never been concerned about safety or other issues. You should be fine walking back to Mickey & Friends/Pixar Pals in the evening, especially with the new pedestrian bridge that just opened today!

Personally, I wouldn't bother leaving the park for dinner but I guess it depends on what type of food you want.

Enjoy your visit!

ETA: I am not sure what day you are going but DCA opening at 7am sounds like you are looking at a day with Extra Magic Hour at DCA. Since that is only for hotel guests, I believe the parking lots will open 90 minutes before regular park open which is 8am. When EMH/Magic Morning is at Disneyland, THEN the parking opens 90 min before that starts.

You will be very safe. I wouldn’t worry about safety one bit. The Mickey and Friends tram drops off across from World of Disney in DTD, very close to the DL gate. If you want to watch the parade I suggest staying out a spot at least and hour prior to parade time. You should have plenty of time for dinner in DTD or a hotel but I suggest trying to make a reservation or be prepared to wait as it can be busy especially if it’s a weekend.

Thank you both! I will be there a week from Monday. I was hoping I could just grab a spot by the front train station and also just grab an early table. I will rethink both. I added 2 & 2 and got 5 for the parking. Thank for clarifying the opening times

Just to clarify: DLR doesn't have MDE -- they have the Disneyland App, which is free to download! You can download it now so that you can start getting familiar with it. There are menus on the app, so you can look them over to see where you might want to eat dinner. If you decide to do CS in the park and have a credit card on file, you can use Mobile Ordering through the app.
