Ticket Mess

I have a mish-mosh of tickets going on right now....Me, dd8 and ds5 have 10 day tickets linked to our MDE. DH has a 5 day. The 5 day was left over from someone thinking they were going to come and then didn't. I don't remember where I bought it...It was through one of the places that is approved but I don't know if I can say which and truthfully, I just don't remember. The 10 days were also bought from one of those, I can't remember...I bought them a while ago. They are not non-expire. This was all before MB's ever came into the picture.

Our plan was to all upgrade to AP's on our first day of being there...

So now I am realizing I have a hot mess on my hands! If I keep it how it is, DH won't be able to go on any rides for the last 5 days of our trips because he won't be able to get a darn FP. We are going Easter week.

49 days after we upgrade our tickets to AP's we are headed back for SWW...I would venture to say it will be tough to get any darn fp's for that trip as well...I don't know if I would really need them, but a spin on TSM would be fun, not to mention any special SWW events that might need it...

So...What's a girl to do?? I am open to suggestions on what anyone thinks I should do. I am a DVC member if that helps... Thank you!!

Can't you just also upgrade DH's ticket to an AP? The ticket was never used by anyone, right?

Can I upgrade before I get there? I thought I had to do it in person?

I would like to know also if it can be upgraded before you go - I am thinking it cannot. I need to upgrade a 5 day MYW pass to a 7 day park hopper over xmas and it would be easier to do it prior to going. I will be able to FP this week and it would make things much easier.

You can only do those upgrades in person and do it after you use the tickets at least once.

We had the same issue last Easter and we didn't have a problem getting the FPs we wanted for the extra days after we upgraded. Other than Seven Dwarves MT and maybe a random other, I think you'll be fine. It's not a crisis even though it may seem like one.

Wow. I didn't realize you could get fp that easily while you are there. I know you can move them around so I guess it makes sense! At least I have until 60 days out to decide

We were there in early September so our experience may not transfer to busier times but I found that not much was available on the day of but the night before we could get pretty much anything.

I read on another thread that if you have an AP you can only book 7 days of fp's. Good grief...So that means that we won't be able to book SWW fp's until we are almost finished with our Easter trip, correct?

So I guess each day DH uses up his fast passes I will be able to make them for the next day that he doesn't have them, only having 7 days total at all times...Since we had 10 day passes the 10 days of fp's will remain even though we upgrade to AP's?

All these things I never thought about!!

If you have AP and are staying onsite you can make FP+ for length of stay. If you are staying offsite you can make only 7 days of FP+ and the earliest you can make them is 30 days from each day.
