Ticket Kiosk before entering the parks?

Hi All,

My family is thinking of ordering Disney tickets through Expedia. They send them to you through email.

Do we just print these out and show them at the entrance or is there a special kiosk we need to go to so that we can convert the printouts to official Disney tickets?

How long does the kiosk take (if there is one) ?

We're kinda newbs at this! :cool1:

Thanks in advance.

Is there a benefit to ordering through Expedia? Just curious, as I thought the only discounted tickets were via UCT.

Why not just buy them at the park when you get there unless there is a benefit I don't know about (which could very well be true).

I usually order mine through UCT to save a few bucks and so they are bought and paid for before we go, as we stay offsite so no package deals or anything.

Myself, I would worry that I would lose the emails I printed, or they would get wet, or some such thing and then I would have to find someplace to be able to access my email and print them again before I could go to the park and get them changed over to "real" tickets. But that's me, I worry about stuff like that LOL!

Yeah, unless there is some sort of savings associated with purchasing the tickets though expedia, I can't understand the need to pre-purchase them from them. If you want to pay in advance, you can buy them from the Disney Website and they'll send the tickets directly to you. In any event, there is no "kiosk" at Disney for ticket pickup. You have to wait in line at guest services, like you're buying your tickets anyway to pick them up. I waited for 20 minutes last month to get our tickets at MK.

What time does guest services open? Before parks open?

I ordered tickets online while I was in Florida once and had to go to Will Call to get them. We got to TTC guest services at 8am (park was opening at 9am) and they were open.

I'm guessing you're buying your vacation through Expedia. I've heard some people find some decent deals that way.

ETA: TTC is for Transportation and Ticket Center, which is basically Magic Kingdom's parking lot and transition spot. We took a cab from the International Drive area where we were staying and since we were going to Magic Kingdom, that is where we were dropped off that morning.

Buy your tickets from Undercover Tourist. They give the best discounts, and they will send you the actual tickets in the mail. You can use them right at the entrance gates.

Just go to the will-call counter, can't really predict how long, the window could be empty or have a line. Disney CMs tend to be very courteous and like to talk at the windows, so it could be quick, or take a while.
