I am needing to purchase one 2-day PH for a guest on our next trip in June. I was wanting to wait until April since I will get 5% back at Kroger with my Chase Freedom card and can purchase a gift card there and then turn around and buy the ticket through Disney paying for it with the gift card. But I'm afraid the tickets will increase before then. Generally, when do tickets increase?

People are expecting it to happen soon.

The last two years it has been in mid-February. However, I noticed undercovertourist raised their prices a bit already. I noticed that the 5-day MYW tickets went up a couple of dollars when I bought mine for our September trip last year.

I think they would have done it already but now they can toss in the "really big price increase" because of new security costs. (just speculation on my part)

You could get the same 5% savings without waiting if you buy Disney Gift Cards from Target using a Target Redcard. No waiting for the Chase offer...

I have heard about this but really haven't looked into it since I never go to Target. I'd be interested though if I could get more than 5% back.

The reason I stick with Kroger is for the fuel points. Right now, if I bought at $300 gift card, I would get 1200 fuel points. That's $1.2 off my gas up to 35 gallons. So that is a savings of $42! The 5% back ($15) is just a bonus. But I already get 2% back ($6) with my Bank of America card on grocery store purchases. I'm not waiting until April though for an additional $9 savings. I'm sure the tickets will go up more than that.

You don't have to go to Target to get the 5% savings. It works online too, and free shipping. ;)
