my friend would like to know if this ticket solution would work or not- they are a family of 4- her and her husband both have 2 days left over from a recent 5 day park hopper. They also have 4 GAD vouchers- here is the question- can they use one day off the 5-day hopper... and the 2 kids use their GAD tickets to get in? And then on day 2- they adults can use their GAD vouchers to get in, and let their 2 teens use the last day remaining on the 5 day hopper? :confused3

You can only use one day at a time off of a park hopper. Does that make sense? So if there are 4 people in the family it sounds like they will be short one ticket each day.

Sorry, I doubt this will work. I am not sure I understand it all, but tickets are not supposed to be exchanged/used by multiple people. They could get lucky and get away with it with out cast members noticing...or not and then that could get sticky and embarassing.

GAD tickets are strict- they can only be used by the people who performed the service- no exceptions. So they won't be able to trade those to people that didn't do the GAD.

It sounds like the 4 GAD vouchers are for the family that is going, am I correct? So you will be fine there, it's the days left on the 5 day PH that they are trying to use up. I think no matter how you spin it you will be short one ticket each day. Which will leave you with two days on that PH to come back another time. (if it doesn't expire) :thumbsup2

I get the idea that each day they will use the two ParkHoppers for two people and 2 GAD vouchers for the people they were intended for. Technically this will work as I have never had to prove that a PH was actually mine. (They were...) But, it isn't really honest, as ParkHoppers aren't transferable. Remember the PH has a 14 day expiry from the day they were first used.

This. First and foremost is the fact that the PH's expire within 14 days of first use. But, even if they weren't expired, it is a technical violation of Disneyland policy to transfer your tickets.

I guess it does sound confussing. hehe.... there are 4 Gad tickets.... and 2 parkhopper tickets with 2 days remaining before the 14 day is blocked out. so that would be 8 scans... I dont think my friend would want to play it risky.... she just thinks cause well its her 5 day park hopper that her kid can use one day- she isnt trying to sell the extra days on ebay or to a outside friend or something. THANKS for trying to understand my confusion hehe!

I THINK this is what your plan is:

PH #1 - Day 1 Friend uses
PH #2 - Day 1 Friend's husband uses

GAD #1 - Day 1 Kid 1 uses
GAD #2 - Day 1 Kid 2 uses

GAD #3 - Day 2 Friend uses
GAD #4 - Day 2 Friend's husband uses

PH #1 - Day 2 Kid 1 uses
PH #2 - Day 2 Kid 2 uses

If this is correct, it's all good until the kids use the last day on the PHs on day 2. As disneymum58 and sonnyjane stated, PHs are non-transferable. It does not matter that she is giving them to her kids, she's still transferring the usage to another person.

Can you get away with it? Sometimes. Maybe. Is it allowed? No. And in this scenario, the kids using adult PHs would be an instant indicator to the CM at the turnstile that something isn't right.

They will need to buy the kids tickets for Day 2.

Oooh, EXCELLENT point about kids using adult hoppers!

In the first post, she refers to the kids as TEENS, so they would have to use adult hoppers, so I don't think it would raise any red flags at the gate, but it does go against the policy.

Ooops, my error. That just puts it back to: No, it's not allowed.

I know your not supposed to do that but I think she could. We had park hoppers and my parents did not want to go one day they were just exhausted. My niece and nephew came out from San Diego and used 1 day so it did not go to waste. The next day my parents used them again. The fact of the matter is we paid for them why should they go to waste. Probably not the best practice but we did do it a few years ago in that instance with no problem at all.

Well, it's not only "not the best practice," but it's against policy. I agree that you paid for your passes and it's a shame to have them go to waste, but I don't think that makes it okay to intentionally violate a specific policy about pass usage - or encourage others to do so.
