Hi, We are from the UK and purchased our Universal multi day passes from Florida tics, they are the cardboard type where you sign your name on them. On the ticket it says you need photo ID to use tickets . We have always used the same ticket op's and never shown photo ID before, is this a new thing?
I don't like taking ID out and about with me as I loose things a lot :rolleyes1 has anyone else had a problem using their tickets without photo ID ?

You only need the ID for the first time you use them pass to enter the park

Hi macraven, thank you. Guess I better give my ID to DH to look after then :)

do we need to sign them at Universal on our first visit or can they be signed before hand and shown with photo id ?
cal:)

To be on the safe side, sign them in the presence of the TM at the gate

But I don't think it would be an issue if you signed them prior as long as you bring your ID with you for the first date you use your ticket pass

Outside of the first time, they like you to have your ID's in case your fingerprint doesn't scan correctly. However, I usually leave my ID in my hotel room and have had fingerprint scan issues several times and it was fine. My fingerprint issues were never into the park though - it was at Hogwarts Express as well as the lockers. They didn't ask me for my ID the first time though either. (I picked my AP's up through a machine. I did bring my ID with me that day though just in case).

If you have the ep pass then yes

If my finger scan does not work I tell them to try again or get a supervisor

I do not carry my DL with me in the parks

Never had issues with that when finger scan does not work at the gate for me

And never given an argument from the TM about it

I have a paper ticket that I bought for my nephew's friend back in 2009 - the trip was cancelled but I still have the print at home ticket with his name on it. The ticket says that he would need his id and the credit card it was purchased with. If I give him the ticket (he is now 24) will he still need my CC info?

Cc do change and guest services can work with that

Send guest service an email or call them to get the specifics since you no longer have that cc

They will work with you as that ticket will still be in the system
