We have always purchased the Park Hopper Tickets before leaving for our trip. This time we only need passes for ds and dd ages 7 amd 9. With the new tickets I am sooooo confused. We are interested inthe 5 day- one park- NO EXPIRE passes. Last time I bought tickets from Hotwire. I have been looking to try to figure out what to do and now we leave next Thursday. Will I be paying more if I wait to buy them at the resort???? I went to the Disney sotre to purchase them and was told I would have to add the NO EXPIRE when I arrived at the Park. Has anyone done this and if so was there a problem adding it there??? I keep reading that tickets need to be advance purchased to have any savings, but the gate price that I found for the 5 day tickets which I am interested in seems to be the same as the advance price (around $202.36 per ticket) Help??? These new tickets have me going crazy. :rotfl: I never wait this long to have our pass situation taken care of. If someone can shed some light, I would truly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for your advice

If you buy standard Disney tickets in advance you will keep most of the advance purchase discounts you got if you decide to add features (non-expiration, etc.) later, at the park. This is because they take the gate price of your ticket as purchased and the gate price of the MYW ticket with the features you want and you pay the difference.

You would not get the portion of the advance purchase discount pertaining to the features you add, for example if the travel agent sells tickets with the plus pack for $38. more than tickets without, you still pay $48., the gate price of the plus pack, when adding the plus pack later at Guest Relations.

Not all travel agencies sell Disney tickets at a discount in advance. Also check the features on the tickets that the travle agency is offering, maybe you get the ticket with the hopping option for just one dollar more than buying a non-hopping ticket at the gate.

As far as I know, the Disney Stores sell tickets at full gate price, and do not offer "all sizes".

About 5 day non-expiring tickets, be aware that:
The 6'th day costs $14. and the plus pack yields a 4'th plus for the same $48.
The 7'th day costs $14. and the plus pack yields a 5'th plus for the same $48.
The 8'th day costs $51. (!)
The 9'th and 10'th days cost $4. apiece after you bought the 8'th.
