Hi everyone. I need some help with my tickets. We were given four 1-day base tickets by Disney. We already have a split stay booked through a TA for October that has 6 day tickets linked. Can we link the base tickets to our resort reservation so that we can book FPS 60 days out? If so, we would like to take 2 days off of our other tickets. I currently am able to book FPS for the base tickets for 30 days from now so that makes me think they aren’t linked to our resort reservation. TIA

You will not see the 60 day FP+ booking window UNTIL you are 60 days from your check-in date. If you have separately purchased admission (not part of an upcoming package), you will be able to book FP+ selections for dates up to 30 days in the future (what you see currently).

As long as the 1-day tickets are linked to MDE, they will be included in the number of FP+ days you can book.

As @erionm said, you won't be able to see the 60 day window until you are 60 days out from your trip. Only being able to see a 30 day window is normal.

You may be able to take 2 days off of your tickets, but I don't recommend it. You'll only save about $20 per ticket by doing that. It would be smarter to either save them for a shorter trip it sell them.

Your TA should be able to help you out with this. Contact them and let them know what you would like to do.

You don't need to link the base tickets to your resort reservation. The reason you can book with the base tickets now is because anyone with linked tickets in MDE can book FP+ up to 30 days in advance. Once your 60 day window opens, if you have 6-day package tickets linked AND the base tickets, you would be able to book 8 days worth of FP+. A WDW resort stay just opens up a FP+ window. Once the window opens, any valid ticket media that is linked in your MDE account can be used to make FP+ reservations.

As to taking 2 days off of your 6-day ticket, I agree with PP who suggests you don't do it. You would be throwing money away. Each of those 1-day base tickets is worth more than $100. Taking 2 days off a 6-day ticket has a savings of about $30. I would save the 1-day tickets for a shorter trip.

Thank you everyone for your opinions. I guess I didn’t really think about the cost difference. The base tickets really are worth quite a bit more so we will save those for another trip. I already linked them so how do I make sure they don’t get used in October when we enter a park?

The easiest way is to create a fake person on your MDE account and then transfer the tickets to them. You can transfer them back when you want to use them

That’s a good idea! I didn’t even think to do that. Thanks! I actually have my SIL and niece on my account. It keeps telling me they have things linked to their account so I can’t delete them but I’ve looked and there’s nothing active that’s linked to them. I’ll probably reassign the tickets to them so they don’t get used up. Thanks!

If there are any MagicBands (or RFID Cards) linked to their profile, you can't delete them.

In regards to saving the 1-day tickets for a shorter trip, you might want to double check their expiration date to see when they expire. Hopefully they are the non-expiring type!! pixiedust:

Have a great trip!!

They say they expire in 2030. When I told DH that he thought I was saying the year wrong lol

Why not just create new profiles using your middle names and link the tickets to them?
I already went ahead and reassigned them to my niece. That way they are still on my same MDE account and I don't have to make a new one. I think it should be okay now. Thanks for the advice, though!

Even if their magic bands are inactive?
You can't delete a managed profile even if the MagicBands are marked as Inactive. If you really want to remove those managed profiles, you can call Disney and they can do it.

I might call after our trip in October since I put our complimentary tickets under my niece’s name.
