we're currently here on a bounceback and want to add the water parks & more to our hoppers and am being told that because the price of the hopper ticket has increased since we books it will cost around $78 per person to add it instead of $26. I didn't think the price I paid for tickets should be affected...isn't the option a set price? Shouldn't the bridge the difference? Any help would be great!

Are your tickets part of a package? If not, did you buy them from Disney or from a reseller?

Also, where did you try to upgrade them?

They're part of a package purchased direct through Disney. We tried to upgrade them at concierge at our resort

"Go get a second opinion" before actually doing the upgrade. This will cover for the situation where the CM at the resort did not know all of the complex rules for bridging (elevating the original ticket value to current selling price) or not bridging. Also, bridging is a manual step that the CM has to know the existence of to start with.

In general, tickets purchased directly from Disney are not eligible for bridging. Package tickets should be valued at full ticket price even though the entire package might have free dining or some other discount or even free hopping. Except I think that it is full ticket price at the time of booking.

Not true. Full price tickets bought from Disney are not able to be bridged, but tickets bought as part of a package (which is what most people buy) are.

It's possible that tickets that are part of a bounce back offer are different, but I doubt it.

The cost will be $26 per ticket, plus tax (so $27.69.)
Don't deal with the resort.

Just go to any ticket booth or Guest Relations.

That's what I thought. The RUDE CM at the concierge desk was very adamant that I was wrong so that's why I posted here. I thought I was losing my mind. Thanks for the advice! Guest relations at TL took care of it & we had a great day.

The system that the concierge folks use is completely different that the one in use at ticket booths. Concierge folks are not typically trained in "upgrades," and the process is very convoluted. Your best bet is to always upgrade at a park.

Personally, I have been able to add a day at the concierge desk, but my tickets had already been bridged, so it was a pretty easy upgrade.
