Ok- am I getting this right?.....

I need tix for 2 days for 2 adults and 3 kids in March.

The child 2 day ticket is $99 as is the 2 day one adult / one child free tickets.

I should buy 3 of the the one adult / one child free tix right?

Is the "extra" child ticket I will have good forever since I won't be activating it?

The total was $319- which seems good for 5 peaople for 2 days regardless.

Thanks for any help!

Yes, since there are 5 of you, you will need to buy 3 tickets and 3 free tickets for a total of 6.

Would you have an extra kid ticket - or an extra adult ticket? (Is one of your kids over age 9?)

We are a fam of 5 with one kid (age 11) an "adult" by theme park standards, so we need at LEAST 3 adult tix.

So which is better - 3 "buy-one-get-one" tix (and pocket the extra kid ticket, in our case) or 2 "buy-one-get-one" tix and one PAP?

The PAP obviously costs more ... but I'm thinking that 4 days or so of dining with a fam of 5 (and the 10-15% off that the PAP affords), plus any discounts on an on-site room, might offset costs.

Plus, I'm headed to Orlando for a conference early this year... might be nice to take a day and check out the "dark side" as Disneyphiles call it in advance of taking our crew there....

Thoughts? :listen:

The extra childs ticket is *NOT* good forever!

KIDS FREE & THREE DAYS FREE

Receive one kid’s ticket (ages 3-9) for FREE for every ticket purchased
Receive three (3) additional days for FREE, for a total of five (5) consecutive days of admission.
Tickets expire five (5) days after first day of use
Ticket must be used by December 31, 2006

Personally, I would buy one PAP and 2 "buy-one-get-one" tix. You just cant beat the discounts of the PAP! And with 5 people in your party, you will save more than the extra money for the PAP on food alone! :D

i understand that many of you keep referring to " tickets expire dec 31."

i have had tickets in the past that have a similar statement and here to tell you they do not expire. i don't know why the expiration date is being stressed here. a few of the experts on the boards have already stated not to worry that tickets are valid.

if you don't use any of the days on those bonus tickets, they will be valid for your next vacation. that means, you have saved that pass and did not use any days on it.

i have two tickets left from a previous pass, not bonus, and i checked it out at guest services before i ended my last trip.
it was checked by the universal employee there and i was assured that i do have that day left on my pass.

if on the back of your bonus pass it states, expires within 4 days of first use, then those would expire. mine does not have that statement on it.

check the writing on the back bottom of your pass. if it does not list an expiration date, then it is good for your next trip.

hth

that was a direct quote from here ,check out the ticket details for the bonus pass.

I read elsewhere on here that even though Universal is stating that there's an expiration date there is no expiration date on the passes. The statement on the Universal website just extended the expiration date the other day from April to now December. I remember reading a post (by Phamton?) before the expiration date extended assuring someone that they WOULD be able to use the passes beyond April...a few days later I noticed the expiration date had been extended. I think that expiration date is just a marketing tool!! :confused3

Buying the park tickets is so stressful for me. We need 5 adult tickets. I need one day in Seaworld, and 3 in Universal. If I buy them separately, I will pay $532.25 for the 2 day plus 3 days special to Universal, and $297.95 for one day to Seaworld....totalling $830.20. Someone suggested I get the Orlando Flex ticket, but 5 of those come to $1,017.38. And, I don't need the other park passes, since we don't have the time this trip. I already bought my Disney passes before the 2005 rate expired, but I am fretting over the Universal and Seaworld passes. Our trip is not till December, so I have lots of time. Will there be a better deal than what is being offered now?? Should I wait??

you are correct

::yes::

if you don't use the pass at alll, save it for another trip. don't worry about the exp. date. it has changed before like you said.

byc, have you checked out undercovertourist.com for prices?

someone here should be able to answer your question on the best ticket prices.
lets see, you need 5 adult tickets, 3 days at universal and 1 day at sea world. do i have that correct?
