In May our group of 10 used the finger scans. After the trip, I took all of the tickets  and didn't mark which one belong to who. Now when we go back in October, what will we do to get through the gate? If the tickets don't match the scan wil we have to hold up the line while we shuffle them around? Has anyone else forgoten which ticketwas which?

Everything I have read here says, yes, you will have problems getting thru the line on your next trip. Take a sharpie magie marker and note on each ticket who it belongs to. go early, because from what I can tell, it will take you a long time to sort out 10 tickets.

If all 10 of your tickets were purchased together and first used on the same day you will have no problem. The tickets will all be linked together. However if this is not the case then you will have a problem.

But, won't they still have to match each ticket with each person? I thought the computer already has finger scans to go with each ticket, and basically they will have to now match ticket to person. We didn't have to get scanned last trip, since we bought the tickets in 2004. So, I am still trying to be an expert for our December trip.

No if the tickets were purchased together and first used on the same day then they are linked. Thus each of the tickets will work with all 10 people. This is done for the benifit of those like the OP.

If a husband and wife buys two passes, and then first uses them on the same day. Then they will be able to use their passes interchangeably.

Peter, this would be great news,

Has anyone tried this lately? We thought about trying last week but didn't dare to. I did not want to be sent to Guest relations or asked for a photo ID cause I didn't have one with me.

However one day me and my DH's card was demagnetized and were given a complimentary entry to the parks instead of having to go to guest relations. We got to keep that extra day on our MYW ticket.

When I added no exp to my tickets, I had 5 days left and had been to the parks 6 days.....thanks Disney!

Our tickets from last year has each persons name printed on the ticket. Isn't this done with all of them if you are staying "on -site"?

Yes, if they purchased their tickets at the resort.

My brother brought the wrong tickects with him. He had a ten day hopper that was his sisters and had no problem using it even though she already used two day and finger scanned.

I know a group of 8 who went back to WDW after going earlier in the year. They had previously done the finger scan thing. When they went back, if they ticket didn't match the stored scanned finger, they had to show ID in order to be let in (but they all got in).

Good luck!

Since you are supposed to sign your ticket and sign in tables are at the turnstile area, don't be surprised if you are sent to Guest Relations just outside the turnstiles to resolve the ticket mixup.

For a family with children just over the child limit, the CM may push the finger scan override button (hidden from guests' view) rather than hold up the line since it is common for a parent to hold all the tickets.

The CM would still tell the parent to have everyone sign their tickets.

My mom has an old 7 day hopper that has only been used once. She did not have to use finger scan when she last used it. When I was in WDW last week I used her old hopper ticket instead of my AP and I put my fingers in the scanner. Does this mean that my mom now cannot use her old 7 day hopper ticket due to the fact that my fingers are now on it? Her name is NOT on the old ticket. We are going back to WDW next week and she is worried about this. Thanks for any advice!

Yes pretty much. But try going to guest relations to sort out the matter.

OT: The extreme danger of carrying extra passes loose in your wallet or purse on any given day. A total waste of a day off of the hopper ticket (unless this happened at a water park and we're talking about a hopper plus pass and a non-premium annual pass).

If you didn't sign the ticket, there's no proof who it belongs to, so the next person should be let in, but they should make them sign it.

This is all too confusing for me but here is my question. If I buy 4 seven day no expiration passes and all four of us go to the parks and activate those tickets on the first day, and my husband only uses one day off of one of the seven day passes, but the kids and I use 5 days of our passes, can one of us at a later date use whats left on his pass with 6 days on it because they were all activated at the same time? I would like to by four seven day tickets and save the remaining days for the kids and I for a later trip coz my husband only wants to go for one day.I don't really want to buy just a one day ticket coz I know the kids and I will be going back again. HELP I am totally confused!!!!!

Technically speaking, yes you could do that. However, if your scan does not work for some reason then they will check ID and it will not match your ticket. Then you will not be allowed in the park.

Thanks for the info! The entire group did use them all on the same day on our last trip, so it seems like we will be okay. They do not have names on them as I ordered them via mail. I will make sure that everyone has their ID just in case.

When we were there in June, we mixed up our tickets and had to unscramble them before we were allowed in the park. However, the ticket taker was very nice and because we arrived early, there were no grumblers behind us.
