Ticket Expiration

Have only ever been to WDW but am thinking that either later this year or next we'd like to go to Universal. Was thinking of buying tickets now since we've got a bit of extra cash. Do Universal tickets expire or could I shove them in the safe until we are ready to use them?

you can do that.
tickets don't expire until you activate them.
that means, use them at the park gate...

Certain special tickets, like the current buy 2 days/get 1 free have expiration date. But like Macraven said, the normal ticket don't expire until you activate them.

The 3 park unlimited 14 day tix expire on 12/31/2016, probably because Wet and Wild is closing at the end the year.
