Ticket expiration question

Due to a cancelled COVID related trip last year, we have 3 tickets that are good thru September, 2021. What happens if we delay our trip even further? Do I get the credit for those toward a future purchase? Do I need to call Disney in advance and tell them we won't be using the tickets by the expiration date?
