Ticket Exchange/Upgrade - UPH for Annual Pass?

I had a question - I was thinking of taking the family back to WDW this year just prior to Christmas, to get the feel of Christmas at Disney but before the REAL crowds hit. We just went in July of this year for a week, and had the Dream Maker package, where you get UPH's included for everyone. My question is this: Is it possible anywhere to get an Annual Pass retro'd back to the date when we first arrived in July, and pay the difference between the value of the UPH's we had and the AP, so I don't have to pay for tickets in Dec?

Had I known I would be trying to go in Dec. I would have just bought an AP in July and not booked the Dream Maker package, but I didn't think at the time we would be coming back. I know you can upgrade while you're still down there (I think), but didn't know if I could upgrade "after the fact."

Any help/insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ticket exchanges and upgrade have been a sore spot for me, as the information Guest Services communicates is often confusing. If I understand the person from the MK window correctly, you can use tickets that you've already used to apply them towards an annual pass, and the effective date goes back to the date the ticket was first used. However, since yours were included in a package I'm not sure how it will work. I suggest going to a Guest Relations window (they are to the side of the main entrances) or a ticket window at the International Gateway with patience and nobody jumping up and down about getting into the park and see what they say. Just be prepared that it is possible they person working will say it is not possible to do this, and their manager on the spot may concur, and in that case be prepared with what type of admission media you would like to purchase instead so you can go and enjoy yourself.

Now if I could follow my own advice, because I just got frustrated last time I tried to get the credit for unused days applied to a new annual pass...

You will get great information and advice if you post this question on the theme parks board. Great people with lots of info on tickets!

www.allearsnet.com has a great section on ticket FAQ.

In your case, if I read your post correctly you had the UPH not PHP and it was based on the number of nights you stayed at the resort, ie good from check in to midnight at check out.

If this is the case then all your admission is used and I am quite sure that you can't upgrade completely used tickets :(

Hopefully I am wrong as it can get quite confusing.

UPH's are not upgradeable. At this point they are all used up anyway. They are only good for length of stay.
