I think I'll post this on the Family Board too, but can anyone fill me in on the ticket distribution procedure for the Magical Beginning concerts at MGM? We'll be there for Dan Zanes. I know that we pick up the tickets at LMA, but are you able to request specific times? Are the tickets going fast?

We did this for the Wiggles. They had a big tent set up and you could get whatever number of tickets for the show of your choice. There was no line by the time we got there, but we were eating breakfast at Hollywood and Vine when the park opened (there was a pretty good crowd waiting for the park to open when we arrived at 8:30, but I don't know how many were there for the Wiggles). It was about 9:45 when we went back, and tickets for the first show were sold out, but both of the other shows were offered.

Have fun!

Thanks Bird Mom! Did you do the Playhouse Disney breakfast? If so, how was the character interaction? We're doing lunch during our trip. My DD is a JoJo fanatic so we are looking forward to it!

We were there for Johnny and the Sprites and the tickets were not necessary. We did go and get them, but when the show time came they were not collecting them.

They did let you pick whatever show time you wanted, we got tickets for 2 shows that day, no problem. I know that Johnny and the Sprites are not as big as some of the other performers that are going to be there, but that was our experience.

We had a great time by the way, ran into John after the show out in the park, got some pictures, he was really nice. Overall a fantastic day.

We did do the Playhouse Disney Breakfast. The interaction was so-so compared to the other meals we have done (all except CRT and GG). The biggest problem was that it was pretty disorganized. Every 20 or 30 minutes, there were 2 singers who would try and get the kids up out of their chairs to sing and dance, and it seemed like the characters forgot their place and the handlers were nowhere to be found. Goliath took 5 breaks in the hour that we were there; we never got to see him. The table next to ours was not happy about waiting their turn, and the parents never got the kids to go back to their table. Obviously that is a parent problem, but I was not happy about it. My girls don't like to wait either, but I am mean and make them wait their turns. The character handlers were not around for that either although I did see them walking around the restaurant.

I think it has potential, but I think with the singing activities, it needs a little work-to grow into its own rhythm.

Have a great trip!

They didn't collect the Wiggles tickets either, but they did check them before we got in line.

That is so cool that you got to see John! I was bummed that he came after we left. I love Johnny and the Sprites!

We did get to see Anthony Wiggle. We were standing along the walkway to what looked like the dressing room area (we didn't know that at the time), and my dh said "Look Miranda, it's Anthony. Do you remember meeting him?" (We had the opportunity to go to a meet and greet when they were in our area about 6 months ago.) Anthony said hello, that he remembered her, and described what she was wearing! I don't know how he remembered; I am sure they see thousands of children/year, but he did! She has not been able to stop talking about it (which is a great thing b/c she has speech problems)!

Yeah they never even looked at the tickets for Johnny and the Sprites, they just said hi as we walked through the turnstiles. The theater was not full, so walk ins were welcome.

John was really nice, it was so funny, we were sitting in front of the ABC commisary and the stage door for the theater is across the way. As they came out the song playing was Mission Impossible and they started doing "Charlie's Angels" and the puppeteer that does Ginger drops down to the ground and does a roll... it was hysterical, they were having so much fun, so we went over and said hi, took some pictures and went on our way. A few days later we say John again and he was like "I know you, the Charlie's Angels thing right"... we were like yes and he signed some autographs and took a couple more pictures. He really was very nice.

We had the pleasure of meeting the Wiggles a few years ago, but at the time I had no idea who they were, so I didn't appreciate the experience as much as I think I would now, being a mom... It is really cool that he remembered your family, that really shows that they care about their fans. Amazing and impressive.
