Hi everyone,

I have an annual pass (Power). I see on the benefits page that I can get a discount on theme park tickets but I can't find anywhere on the site or in the e-mails that explains what the discount is and how it works (and if there's limit on the tickets I can purchase). We're going on a trip in the fall and half of us have power passes but the other half needs tickets (just 1 day, 1 park). Does anyone know what our discount would be, how we would buy discounted tickets using our passholder discount (if it's the best price over discount sites), and if there's a limit on the number of tickets per pass that a passholder can purchase?

You can get the AP discount on multi day tickets but not single day tickets at the gate

Check the discount sites such as UT to see if they have discounted one day one park tickets

I don't think you are going to be able to find any discounts on one day tickets.

Thanks. I wasn't expecting discounts on 1-days on any of the usual sites. The Universal AP page just says "discounts on theme park tickets" without specifying the terms so I figured it would be the only shot on 1-day tickets (if allowed). It'd just be nice to confirm whether it's an option or not. They really should spell out somewhere what the discount is and what it applies to - I can't even find it in the fine print.

All the discounts are on the website.

Does anyone know what the actual gate price is for a 4 day ticket to see if its worth it?

If you add the tickets you want to your cart on the website, then click through like you're going to check out, it will tell you how much you're saving off the gate price. Then I just added that amount to my total online price and subtracted the % for the AP discount. I'm not sure if the savings it tells you is exact (I put in five 3-day tickets and it said I was saving $50), but it should give you an estimate.

I saw that under but i didn't know if that was accurate. They also just released buy 2 days get 3 days free which still saves some money off the AP discounted gate price.

We went to Universal 3/25-30. My brother bought 1 day tickets for his family at the offsite resort he was at without asking me about it. I have a preferred AP. I told him about the buy 2 get 3 promo they were running and he wanted to upgrade his tickets to that. We went to the ticket booth and explained what we wanted to do. They gave him credit for what he paid for the one day tickets and applied it to the promo ticket. The total for each one was $242 I believe.

That is a maddening set of pages.

Had to go to the specific type of pass and scroll to find it. For all but seasonal:

  • 15% off multi-day theme park admission tickets purchased at the front gate (Up to 6 tickets per transaction per day; not valid on Universal Express™ passes, or tickets with Universal Express™)

(Seasonal was 10%)

Not sure why they couldn’t have put that info under “discounts”...
