We (myself, DH, DS12, and DD10) will be spending Labor Day weekend at WDW. We arrive around noon on Friday 9/3 and depart 7AM Tuesday 9/7. We really want to keep costs low on this trip so we were considering a no-park vacation.
Now I'm having second thoughts. It's our first trip to WDW since 2001 and also our first trip to our DVC home resort. Considering all that excitement, imagine the self-control we'd need in order to stay away from the parks.
I'd like to hear some expert advice on what tickets to get. We can forego a water park, but DS will definitely want to go to DQ. DH and I can do without PI.
Here are my questions:
What are the chances we'd be able to drop both the first day (Friday) and last day (Tuesday) of a UPH? I've heard they do this, but am wondering how common it is. If we could do that (with a DVC discount), a 3day 2night UPH looks pretty good. (~ $172 ea.)
Do they sell a 3 day PH? That, plus a DVC-discounted DQ ticket, might meet our needs.
As an alternative to a 3 Day PH there's the one day/one park ticket with a day-2 add on and a day-3 add on. ($165 + $20 for DQ). But I'm a little turned-off by a one-park per day limit.
Finally, do they sell a 4day PHP? I might be able to rationalize the extra expense by saving some days under the "never expire" clause.
Please help! Thanks.
Kelley
