Ticket Delivery By Mail

If you buy tickets directly from Disney and use the "by mail" delivery option, do you receive a plastic credit card type tickets? Does this type of ticket automatically load into your account on the app like e-tickets do, or do you have to scan it in?

I haven't seen or heard of the plastic card type tickets for many many years.
When we have had tickets mailed to us, they are the stiff paper stock ticket.

Thanks Geemo, I think grocery store gift card type tickets are the only plastic ones anymore. Not that I need plastic, but I was curious if they were something different than you'd receive at the gate.

We have always received the card type ticket, but thats when booking a package not just tickets.

When we did a Costco package last year, we received the credit card type plastic tickets.
I just talked to Disney about getting tickets for our upcoming trip. She indicated that I would get a confirmation email (or something similar that I print out)and that they would print out our tickets when presented that at the entrance gate. I don't think that those are the credit card plastic ones either.

No, those will be the heavy paper (normal) ones printed at the resort.
