I know I am over thinking this but I am looking some input as I keep waffling as to what to do.

As some of you may know My husband, 1 ½ year old and I are hitting WDW for 3 days in September before we go on a family reunion cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. (It is actually 1 full day, 1 half day and 1 three quarter day)

Thursday we will be at MK with some friends, we should get to the park by 2:00pm
Friday we are doing MK in the AM and EPCOT in the PM
Saturday we are going to HS till the baby needs a nap and we drive to Ft. Lauderdale

OK.. You have the background now here is the questions.. for Ticket media we each have:

2 days Park Hopper (No Expiration.. last of a 10 day ticket)

1 day base ticket (Purchased for free dining when we already had tickets a few years ago)

1 Give a day ticket

So I am trying to decide what to use and if we should keep anything for a future upgrade later..

I am not against using the 2 give a day tickets for fast passes.. I know we do not have a lot of time so I kinda like this idea especially when we are with our friends on Thursday who do not go to the world very often, but am I better to save the 2 base tickets for credit for tickets later and use the GAD for admission?

I have run this numerous different ways and need a 2nd or 3rd or 4th opinion.

There are a lot of different options.....

Let me first ask you what are the other plans to visit WDW in 2010 and 2011.
Do you have more trips planned already??

If not:
Then you could go with you plan and use the Give a Day Ticket for fast passes.
You have to use that ticket this trip because of the expiration.

You only hopper one day this trip so what you also could do is use the GaD Ticket for getting into the park at Thursday or Saturday and use the 1 day base ticket for Thursday or Saturday and then use for the Friday 1 day off your 2 days Park Hopper (No Expiration).

Money wise this would be the best option, but then is that what we are looking for....

We know we will be back Yvet.. Just not sure when..

I like the idea of haven at least 1 day’s worth of park hopping sitting in my dresser as you never know when you will need them so the idea of keeping 1 day with park hopper is also something I have thought of.

When we buy tickets we usually buy 10 day non expiring park hoppers. I did not think I could upgrade a ticket that has been upgraded to the max already which was why I suggested keeping the 1 day base for a credit later.

I agree that the GAD ticket must be used if you have no clear plans to return prior to December 15, when it expires.

As long as the person named on the GAD voucher has a valid multi-day ticket you can get the fastpasses. Although Disney does state that for arrivals after 11:00 am they do not guarantee the availability of Fastpass Exchange Cards, I have never heard of anyone being denied them no matter the time of arrival.

And, as far as old tickets, once a ticket has been first used more than 14 days ago it cannot be modified or upgraded in any way.

And, if you normally buy non-hoppers, it may be best to use the GAD and the one-day tickets for entry on Thursday and Saturday and use one day of the old hopper on Friday, saving the remaining hopper day for a future trip.

Maybe it's good to look at this again and decide when you are going back again.
Because maybe it's worth the money to go for an AP.

If you don't want to pay anything out of pocket and save down the road, I'd go with using the remaining two PH days (although you only really need 1) and the GAD ticket for the third day. As mentioned you've GOT to use it or lose it.

Save the existing 1-day, and upgrade that next time to your next 10-day NE PH (assuming you aren't forced into another package with ticket).

Alternately, if you wanted to go the FP route (depending on the crowd level, you may not really need it), decide which day/park you wanted to do that. Make sure you save one of the two remaining PH days for that and use it that day (technically, you have to use the multi-day ticket the same day you get the FP - it doesn't matter if there is only one day left on it, or was used earlier that day and you are park hopping). Use the 1-day ticket on one of the other days.

Last option would be be to save the remaining 2 PH days, and upgrade the GAD ticket or 1-day ticket to a 3-day PH, but that will cost a fair amount ($192+tax per adult) and isn't really worth it IMO.

That's just way too much thinking for me to do, BFF. I hope someone helps you. ROFL ;)
