I am in limbo between getting the 7 day PHP passes for my 2 kids. I was curious as to what y'all think...do you think these passes will become even cheaper than what they are now since they are discontinued and will want to exhaust their inventory? Or do I just get the MYW 10 day and pay about $100 more per ticket???? I usually purchase them from an online broker.

I understand your logic regarding the brokers attempting to clean-up their inventory, but my guess is that the 7-day PHP prices will not decline. I don't have intimate knowledge as to how this industry operates, but I expect the margins on these passes are relatively low. Plus, the price point is still lower all-in than a 7-day MYW pass with everything included (ignoring the DQ feature of the new passes).

I assume you have already considered whether you need the no expiration feature - getting rid of this would make the 10-day passes a little bit cheaper than the 7-day PHPs. Even if you end up not using 3 of the park days and 1 of the pluses, you still would come out ahead by buying the 10-day MYW.

If it fits your vacation planning, consider getting a PAP for the kids with your DVC discount. $338.67. Only a few dollars more than the 7 day PHP from a broker.

We would need the expiration feature, since we only do 2-3 days of parks per trip. As far as the PAP, we don't necessarily go every year by the calendar. If we went 2-3x I would consider the PAP, but right now I am trying to decide between the 7 day PHP and 10 day MYW pass.

Well, in that case I would just pony up the extra dough for the 10-day MYW pass. The lowest price including taxes we've been able to get on a child's 7-day PHP has been $252. The advance purchase price including taxes on a fully loaded child's 10-day MYW is $360.

If you divide the extra cost across the 3 additional park days you get, you are paying only an average of $36 per day. Compare this to $51 for a single day ticket without park hopping or an average of $57 per day for a 3-day pass with park hopping under the new system. In addition, you'll be getting an extra "plus" and you'll be able to use Disney Quest.

Another comparison would be to purchasing a 7-day PHP and a 3-day PH. I found a 3-day PH on eBay with a "buy it now" price of $165.

So, getting back to your original question, if it will be a little while before you are going to be in WDW, you might wait a bit and see if the online brokers lower their prices to purge their inventories. If you'll be going soon and want to get everything done, I would recommend buying the 10-day MYW passes.
