Could someone please enlighten me if this will/can/still works? We are looking to go with the Buy a day get a day free promo for FLORIDA RESIDENTS. The cost for this ticket on undercover tourist is $170.26 (with tax). The cost for the same ticket WITH PROMO on universal site is $185.31 (with tax). The cost for a 2 day ticket FLORIDA RESIDENT on universal site (without promo of buy a day + get one free) is $242.81 (with tax). The AP (cheapest pass) is $287.54 (with tax). What will my cost be to UPGRADE to the AP from my ticket bought on Undercover Tourist? I am thinking $44.73 ($287.54 AP - $242.81 2 day FL resident). Is this right? If we purchase these tickets and go to the park the first day do we have to use the tickets before upgrading? I was hoping we could arrive on Sunday (not a scheduled park day), upgrade @ hotel or at universal city walk or at park gate, and then go back to our hotel. We plan to go to the parks Monday and Tuesday but will go Wed & Thurs as well if we can upgrade to AP for less than $50/ticket.

Thanks!

Suggest you call UO and ask them so you have correct info to make the decision.

Why not buy the UT ticket at $170.26 and then go through the gate to guest services inside. That way you will get a credit of $185.31 and then pay $105.22 for the season pass. Saving yourself the $15 of the bridge between what you paid UT to the standard gate price.

Buying the 2 day ticket at $242.81 and then upgrading does not save you any money instead of buying the season pass outright.

That's exactly what I will do. Buy the tickets at $170.26. My question is will universal give me the FULL value of a 2 days fl resident ticket which is $242.81 ($170 is with the 1+1 promo and discount from UT). I hope this make sense.

Basically - I purchase the ticket for $170 which is a PROMO for buy a day and get a day free. Universal charges $242.81 for 2 days (without a promo). Will they credit me $242.81 for the ticket even though I got it cheaper because of the 1+1free promo

The free promo ticket would not have any monetary value for a refund is what some past posters have posted last year.

I have no idea if that still holds true.

I purchased the 3 park to park - 4 day promo from sams club for $305 before tax for an adult ticket. Child ticket was $295 plus tax. We went to all 3 parks throughout 4 days and on our last park day this past Thursday July 16th, 2020, I went to guest services at IOA and asked about annual passes. I was required to purchase the 3 park annual passes as they do not allow you to downgrade from a 3 park to a 2 park. The 3 park seasonal pass cost me $39 plus tax for the adult tickets. $49 for the child ticket. I can always upgrade later to a preferred ticket they told me for an extra $90 (universals price difference). A regular 3 park to park - 4 day ticket sold through universal is $394.99 plus tax through universal (they do not give you this credit). The promo ticket I purchased is priced at $334.99 plus tax through universal (This is the credit I was given). My total is $344 plus tax for a seasonal pass that is priced at $373.99 plus tax on their website. They should credit you whatever the universal price is of the type of ticket you purchase and you will pay the difference. The upgrade date was retroactive to the first date I used my original tickets on July 13th, 2020. The expiration for my new annual tickets is October 14th, 2021.

No you will get the gate price of the 1 day promo ticket which is $185.31. You bought the promo ticket so that is the price you will get. You will not get the price of the non promo 2 day ticket of $242.81.
