Ticket booths in morning

What do those lines look like? I procrastinated and didn't buy our tickets for this Thursday yet. Was going to get them through getaway today, which is an $80 savings for the trip but then I saw that you have to pick up from "will call" at the ticket booth and can't go straight to the gate. Anything over 15 minutes is not worth it to me as my kids will be going nuts and then we will have to wait in the gate line too... TIA

I would just go to the website or app and buy directly from Disney. Then you don't need to deal with the ticket windows...which on our last trip were not staffed all that well in the morning. The hour before opening only the ones on the Harbor side were open and just a few of those.

I agree, just buy online. You can print the vouchers and take them right to the turnstile. Or buy them right on on the app (as long as everyone's entering the parks at the same time).

As far as discount tickets, you may or may not have time to get them through Last Minute Travel. Their prices are great. If I were you I'd call them and do it by phone. They will email you the vouchers. They're Disney vouchers so you can take them right to the turnstiles. Just be sure they can get them to you in time.

They e-mailed mine to me.

I got mine through LMTClub with short notice. I think I got them less than 24 hours after ordering. I did call them ahead of time to make sure they could process it as quickly as I needed.

I bought my dad a two-day park hopper at Target and used my RedCard to save 5%. It says you can take it right to the gate... Our first day is tomorrow morning.

I am not sure where you need to pick up your tickets. I've had to pick up at "will call" before and it wasn't the regular ticket booths. There was no line where I was picking up my tickets, but the people working there were busy talking about personal stuff and wanted and the woman at the window wanted to finish her story before helping us. It wasn't a long wait, but there should have been no wait.

The ticket booths take forever. I've been in short lines there that have taken over 30 minutes to get to the window. I don't know what goes on there that we cannot see, but it has to be some type of very bad lag with their computers or just a lot of questions from the people ahead of me.

Agreed, we were there last Sunday, around 3pm. Had to go to the booth to upgrade 5 day hoppers to AP. Second in line, took about 35 min to get to the window.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but is it a good/viable idea to buy the tickets at the hotel (we're staying at the Best Western Stovall)... I didn't want to deal with turning in a voucher at the turnstile... unless that's painless and quick???

Thanks!!!

I could be wrong, but I think either way you do it you will have to have your picture taken and a name attached to the ticket. That is what takes the time. We've done the vouchers and I've never noticed a delay for them to print our actual ticket. That part happens very quickly.

LMTClub is super fast, and you get vouchers that have your actual ticket number on them - so you can input them into the DL app ahead of time for FP use, etc. Everyone with a multiday (maybe even 1 day?) pass has to have their picture taken so everyone with the exception of APs is turning in something for an actual ticket.

Thanks all! My hubby thinks anything less than an hour is fine to wait since it's just the first day. I'll see if LMtravel is a similar price on 5 day hoppers unless someone knows offhand what those run.

For getting into the parks quickly, I don't think it matters how you buy your ticket (on the app, a voucher, or a ticket from a 3rd party), as long as you buy in advance and can go straight to the turnstiles and avoid the ticket booth. When we bought 4 day PH from LMT in July the savings was $44/ticket. We rolled that into our AP's and only paid $575/AP. I think the savings on a 5 day PH was greater.

It took me about 20 minutes to buy a ticket and only 2nd in line. It did take awhile and the kids got a bit antsy as then had to wait to enter the park too.

I know our 3 day hoppers were as discounted as you can find so I assume 5 day are too. I think it was like $40 off per person?

How've long did it take them to email your tix? Kinda freaking out cuz the receipt said up to 7 days to email and we will be there in 2 days...

I’m pretty sure ours were immediate-ish...I would go ahead and call if you don’t receive them by the end of the day.

They scan the paper, a ticket pops out. Everyone has to do the picture thing.

Easy fast and painless.

He’ll change his tune fast about 20 minutes into the ”what are people doing at the window???” wait. I have a theory that people are trying to solve world hunger and broker world peace st the windows and that’s why each transaction takes so long.
