Ticket Booths and Magic Morning ?

Have you ever picked up tickets (at a DL ticket booth) on a
Magic Morning day and then gone to the Magic Morning on the same day?

If DL's regular opening time is 8am: Have you picked up tickets at 6:30am and gone to MM at 7am?

If DL's regular opening time is 9am: Have you picked up tickets at 7:30am and gone to MM at 8am?

It has been reported here that MMs are NOT compatible with picking up your tickets at the ticket booths. The experience of the veterans on this board says that the ticket booths open 1/2 hour before REGULAR opening... half an hour AFTER MM opening. So you would be out of luck.

However, if you are arriving the night before, the ticket booths will be open until 1/2 hour before DL closes. So you can pick up your tickets the previous day, if that's possible.

Consider, though, that if you just can't do anything else but pick up tickets on your first MM, that you can be standing in line at a ticket booth, and get them right when they open. You will still have half of MM left, and while that won't get you on Nemo or Peter Pan fast, it will still get you in before the majority of the hordes of people are there. You'll be able to get on a couple of the FL rides, possibly Matterhorn, Space, and/or Buzz, and you'll be in position to get that crucial first FP right at 8 a.m. So you'll still get a jump on the crowds. If that's the only way you can do it, don't worry, just do the best you can, and have fun.

It would be great if one our early morning Disers who plan on arriving 30 minutes before MM gates open (90 min. before Gen. Adm. opening).....could confirm if the ticket booths are open (or not) 60-90 min. prior to Gen. Adm. opening. I'm guessing they won't be. Anyone going in the next couple of weeks?

If the family is properly in line (first or second of course ) you'll have 30 min. to kill anyway (unless you're munching on breakfast, taking pictures at the letters or applying suncreen. )

I called today also and they told me that the ticket booth would be open till one hour before closing. So a midnight closing would be 11pm. It seems so late to me, but I'm counting on that to get my tickets late the night before MM in the morning!

i was hoping i could get out tickets the night before, but we get to anaheim at 9:30pm...and DL closes at 9pm according to the current calendar. i was hoping to use our MM that first day there...thursday...but we'll see. maybe i'll just have to use it on saturday. i may try and call DLR again...i called earlier today and a CM told me that ticket booths open 30 minutes BEFORE MM...which seems to be an "exception" answer here...cause it seems that the ticket booths open 30 minutes before regular opening time

from what i've been reading here on the boards, MMs are Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. they start 1 hour before regular park opening time. have fun!

I thought it was Mon, Tues, Thur, and Sat....unless things have changed.

i think the change took affect at the beginning of this year...so the days are those that start with "S" and "T"...sundays, tuesdays, thursdays, and saturdays. things are always subject to change, but those are MM days for now

i called a couple more times in the last week or so...and i keep getting different answers. this time nancy lee (CM) told me what you stated earlier...ticket booths open 30 minutes before REGULAR park hours...BUT that guest services "typically" open around 7am, and that i should be able to go to guest services to exchange my vouchers for my tickets. i asked nancy lee if guest services would still open at 7am if the park opens at 9am or later, and she said "yes". i called a few days later, and ashley (another CM) told me that on a MM day, the ticket booths open sometime between 15 minutes before MM starts or around the time MM starts (so for Oct 9th, thursday, the park opens at 9am...she said that the ticket booths should open up between 7:45am and 8am, since MM starts at 8am that day).

i'm going to leave it at that for now...when the time gets closer, i'll call again.

hopefully someone who has gone recently or is going soon and planning to pick up their tickets the SAME day they are planning to do a MM will chime in here. would love to hear your experience!

This may be a dumb question - but why don't you just print them out before you go?

Or ask your ticket provider to mail them to your hotel?

Okay... here's my 2 cents worth. We arrived at our hotel in Anaheim (Park Vue Inn) at 11:00 pm on Wednesday August 13th. My original plan was to redeem our Getaway Today vouchers that night so that we could hit the park for MM on Thursday.. Unfortuately, due to flight issues we got there later than planned. I asked the desk clerk if the ticket booths would still be open and they said no and that they closed right at 11:00. So, the next am I booted over there for 7:00 and the booth opened about 7:10 or 7:15. I asked the girl working the booth how later they were open the night before and she said right until midnight. We still got some MM time in but I was ticked off at myself that I hadn't checked the booths out for myself that night we arrived. I wanted to soak up every minute of that MM time!
