We're getting close to our first homecoming! We arrive late on Tues, Oct. 5th and leave early on the 10th. So we'll have 4 full days at the parks. I'm trying to figure out what the best ticket option is for this trip. I don't really want to go with AP's. We need to do lots of home repairs coming up, so we may bank out remaining points for the year. (Our priorities have been messed up for YEARS!!)

From what I'm seeing, a 4 day PH is the least expensive and would probably be the best for us...right? DH and I love to go to Adventurer's Club, and we'd wouldn't be able to do that, but I'm not sure that's worth the extra cost. The kids won't really have time for water parks or DQ anyway.

Is there another option I'm missing? Also, would it be best to order them in advance over the phone, or would I be okay online? We leave in about 10 days. Do they do will call? Is there a toll free number for DVC members to use for CRO? I used to have a number I called but I can't find it.

One last thing...room request. Do I call member services back to make a room request? I'm used to doing the fax to the room controller thing with other Disney resorts, so I was wondering what the procedure is for DVC.

Thanks so much! Can't wait and hope the hurricanes stay away!!

Don't fax DVC. They don't accept them. Call MS back and tell them your preferences. They will get listed as a request on your reservation.

For passes, what about the UPH. You could ask to drop the first or last day (or I am told both sometimes), get the 10% DVC discount and get more options than the 4 day PH.

Ok, so how do I compare prices of the PH and the UPH? If I'm there 5 nights, but actually only able to be in the parks for 4 days, do I compare the 4 day price?

Thanks so much!!

You will compare the 4 Day/3 night gate price (less 10% for the DVC member discount) with the price of the 4 Day PH ticket. This assumes that the Front Desk CM will allow you to drop both the arrival day and the departure day from your UPH ticket purchase. It will be up to the discretion of the CM, but I do not recall any reports of a member being refused.

FWIW, your DVC membership will get you a discount (believe it is currently $4 off) the price of admission to PI. If you really don't plan on going to a waterpark or DQ, you probalby be better off with the PH. Unused days of admission on those passes never expire, so if for any reason you don't go to a park one day, you're ticket will be good to use on your next tyrip. That's not so for UPH tickets.

Here is a link to UPH prices:
WDW Ticket Prices

Note that the listed prices include the tax, but not the DVC 10% discount.

Best wishes -

Okay, so I have another question about getting the UPH

We are a family of 5 staying in a studio. Please don't tell me why we shouldn't have 5 in a studio. We just have to.

It says on our reservation 4...will we be able to even buy UPH's? Or will that not even be an issue?
Lori

You will obviously be going to WDW frequently...why not spring for a 7-day PHP at today's prices and keep the unused days for another trip? It will save you money on future trips. The price through Hotwire Savings Club is:
Adults $302.90
Child $242.51

Good luck!

If you want the UPH tickets you will probably have to call MS and have them add another person to the room.

Okay, more questions...if I call MS and tell them to add a small child to the room, anyone know what they would say? I hate to mess up my reservation.

My boys really want to go to DQ and DH really wants to go to Adventurer's Club, so I'm thinking I might do the 4 UPH's for the 4 of us and buy my youngest a PH. She won't be going to either DQ or PI, so it won't matter. I doubt we go to a water park on this short 4 day trip, but if we decide to, we'll just pay that admission when the time comes.

But I'd still probably rather have the 5 UPH's if I could get them.
