Ticket advice 21 Birthday

We will be staying at bwv in August for her 21 birthday.
Have not dealt with tickets for several years.
We will be in WDW Monday to Friday.
Take into account that Monday and Friday are travel days.
I am leaning toward either 2 days or 3 days of passes.
Thinking that the girls may want a down day.
If I buy tickets today do I have to commit to the names ?
After purchase but before use can we swap names?
Can I add park hopper for one day.?
Can I add days after phurchase
Do unused days expire?
When would you suggest cut of date (go or no go) in order to get reservations.

The only thing she has said she really wants to do is Epcot for her birthday.

I can answer a few of your questions....

Can I add park hopper for one day.? - No. PH can only be added for the entire length of the ticket, even if it's added after first use.

Do unused days expire? Yes.

You can transfer/reassign tickets to another person if they have not been used. Once they've been used, you can't transfer anymore.
I'm going in August and picked my parks a few days ago now and there was plenty of availability, but I'd imagine that'll change soon as more people start planning. June's already pretty full, can't be long now.
