Thanks for all the info. My DNephew19 was supposed to be a performer in the show but he ended up in the hospital on Halloween night. He had to stay for almost a week and then off work for 2 more weeks. Needless to say he didn't get to be in the Jubilee or even do his last performance of Celebrate!
Good news is he has been cleared to return to work and will be back Monday to learn any changes in the show and first performance will be Tuesday.

We have always, as a family, been there for his first performances and plan on being there Tuesday. He was in his first parade last year-he was one of the reindeers. We saw both shows that day. Then when Celebrate! premiered we waited 2 hours to see it/him (I never wait 2 hours for anything!

). And then I was planning on being there for his final Celebrate! performance on Nov. 5th and his first Jubilee one on Nov. 6th but life interferred.
I was trying to decide if DD10 should miss school all day on Tuesday so we could see him perform and hopefully get on board and based on the posts I've read looks like we need to get there early in the a.m. for a chance to ride the boat. DL opens at 8 a.m. that day so I'm not sure how early we can make it but we will get there as early as possible so we have a chance to ride the boat-it would be great to have a little private time on the boat with all the characters, inc. my DNephew!
DD10's teacher doesn't like it when kids miss school for anything other than illness, but my DD has a 4.0 GPA and is already over 200% of her AR goal. I don't think missing one day will hurt her, right?

Besides, it's the short week before Thanksgiving and they won't be doing much school work anyway, right?
Hope she's tall enough to be selected! She's small for her age, only 52" tall (just tall enough to finally have riden Maliboomer recently.)
Oh, and we have to go to DLR tomorrow so we can get our free Princess and the Frog kid's movie tickets. It's the last day.
To answer one of the PP's question, the show is running until Jan. 3rd. Then they'll be draining the ROA for maintenance in Jan.
CELEBRATE! will be back after that. My DNephew has been asked to be in it again.
