Tiana's Showboat Jubilee

Look for the CM's in the sparkly, jazzy outfits with oversized golden tickets and talk to them. You really can't miss them walking around NOS, especially the ladies with their great headgear! They are the ones who pick who gets in the show. They also pose for pictures.

The show looks so cute, will it be on the first weekend of December I wonder?

Thanks, MJ! The CMs for the prince and princess look wonderful. This film is so good, as those of us here who got to see the first 30 minutes of know (at d23). Beautiful, hand-drawn animation, a perky storyline, great music, female characters with attitude and a wonderful villain.

Do the ticketed guests have to walk the parade or are they already on the boat?

Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Great fotos! Oh no is this only a weekend thing? We'll just be there on a Mon & Tues. early Dec. ~ I'm sure the meet 'n' greet is a daily thing but maybe not the parade/boat show.

Not a weekend thing. I was there today (Monday) and they did it! It was a cool surprise!

Wow!! That looks fun!! I'll be there next week with my oldest dd, my sister, and my BIL. Hope we can be in the show!!

Thanks for all the info and pics!

Missed it by *that* much! We went for my birthday last Wednesday, Nov. 4th, and we were so bummed to hear that the show debuted on Friday! We were able to catch a sneak peek inside the Court de Angels, though, and a smaller glimpse of the shop set up right next door to it.

Thanks for sharing the photos and video clips. The procession looks fantastic!

The show is a lot of fun and very engaging the way they parade to and from the Mark Twain. Catchy tunes, very upbeat.

Mary Jo, you might want to change your first post on this. It is every day now!!! It's really quite wonderful, the music is fabulous.

We never saw the CMs who gave away the tickets and wondered if they had pre-picked them much earlier. We were there about 35 min early and the CM in charge told us they would be out there before the show. But that never happened.

We ended up happy because we would not have been able to see the show if we were on the boat. But for a second visit, that would be a lot of fun. It looked like they choose three large families.

Two good positions: one is on the upper tier, so you can see the parade. The other is the center part (like for Fantasmic) as that is where the boat stops for the show.

Thanks for alerting us about this, Mary Jo!

I just read on an update somewhere that they choose everyone right after the park opens and give them a boarding ticket with a return time. No idea if that is accurate or not......:confused3

Right after it opens?? Well that sucks, because we are rarely there that soon.....we have to park first, especially our next trip as we are staying farther away then normal.

If that's the case, then it's changed since last Saturday. When we were there, we met two ladies who said that they were given coupons about 20 minutes before the show. They were down by the Rivers of America by New Orleans Square.

On Mice Chat someone posted they got picked to participate around 10:45am and were given the show time 12:30.

Ok, here is where I read it:

http://www.mouseplanet.com/9049/Disneyland_Resort_Update

If you want to be selected to perform in the show, you'll want to head to New Orleans Square right after park opening, and hope to be selected by the costumed performers that will be scouting the area. There is no age limit to participate in the show, and 20 guests are selected for each performance. If you are selected, you will receive a "boarding pass" with the date and time you should return for the show. Participants get to perform in the show and have a private meet and greet with the lead characters.

Saw it Friday, too. It was very cute. Tiana's dress is one of the prettiest ones yet.

We stumbled onto the show (were headed over to HM, POTC, and Spalsh) so have no idea how people were picked. I always figure those thinsg ar ehard to plan and happen mostly by a magical moment. When my dh has tried to get us one of these special Disney things, we haven't gotten it. But we've had plenty of 'just happened to be standing there and got picked' moments. Good luck to all trying to get on the riverboat. Post pics if you do!

We were there yesterday and got to see Princess Tiana. The line was a bit to long to wait so I shot these through one of the shops in NOS.
