Hi all,
Headed down in 2 weeks with my daughter who is celebrating her 5th birthday while we are there. I made reservations for this as a birthday treat for her, but I was curious if anyone has seen how improved the parade view is by the recent removal of the trees on the riverbank? The initial reviews said the view of the parade was terrible, so I'm curious if this has improved it much or not. I know she will have fun anyway because Tiana & the ice cream are the big attraction for her, but we do like watching the FOF parade together as well.

Please don't turn this into an argument about upcharge events :) I know some feel very strongly about these, and I can totally respect that. I'm just trying to give my kiddo a happy birthday surprise.

Yeah, the distance is not great either, but even in those pictures you can see how badly the two big trees they ripped out obscure the view. You wouldn't even be able to see most of the floats through that, let alone the street level performers.

I would normally care more about removing trees for this sort of frivolity, but I figure every single bit of plant life in the place is there by the hand of man anyway, so eh.
