Thyroid--anyone have problems?

I recently went to the Dr. and he found a "Lump" on my Thyroid....so I have to go and have a Thyroid Scan on the 28th. Was wondering if any of you have had this?

I had a dear friend who had this. Her physician watched it for a few months then she had her thyroid removed. She simply took a thyroid replacement medication after the surgery.

Do have a high result on your thyroid test? Or low. Let us know what they decide after the test.

I had this same problem back in October...my entire face blew up...I ruputured both of my ear drums...all due to a goider (sp) on my thyroid. My thyroid levels were fine...but the lump was still there. I was in agony for weeks with it. If you want to you can PM me and I will be happy to go through all of the details with you.

PS..I am fine now...and didn't need surgery or meds...but it did take a few months for my hearing to return to normal.
