I thought I read somewhere here that there is only one parking space for each treehouse. If that's the case where would we park a second car?

ETA
Anyone know where I can find a Treehouse countdown ticker? We're doing a split stay, starting with 5 nights at the treehouses, followed by 4 nights at BLT.

I believe you can park additional cars over at the Carousel section of Saratoga Springs.

However, in August we had two cars and never had any problem finding additional parking stalls. They do not enforce a one car rule. Remember, many people staying there do not have a car and rely on Disney transportation. I'd say you'll have no problem finding two stalls inside the THV, however if you can't then remember you can park at Saratoga Springs.

Thanks for the swift reply lugnut.
I wasn't sure which parking lot would be closest to the Treehouses. You're right, many people don't have cars at WDW. Our last trip in 2006 we used DME to get to CBR and used the buses for the rest of our trip. It worked out great.

Actually, the Grandstand is the closest section to THV, and has plenty of parking spaces. There is a path directly from THV to Grandstand. When we were there, we had 3 vehicles, so parked the 2 we didn't use at the Grandstand even though there were enough spaces at THV.

The Grandstand is the area closest to the THV.

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I actually found a SSR map that shows that Grandstand is in fact the closest area to THV.

Thanks for correcting me.

:rotfl: Sorry for sounding so abrupt. I had a longer answer and then erased all but that little bit.

I do think it's good if people follow dvc_john's example and park extra cars at the Grandstand unless coming back really late at night when everyone else has had a chance to park. In our group of THV, one family had three cars. At times, we had to park farther away as all spots were full. I imagine we may have encroached on yet another family's space by doing so.

Meant to add that I would guess that most folks staying at the THV do have a car....can't imagine staying there without one myself.

THV guests should never think it's okay to park more than one vehicle by the THV. Because as soon as you think you find a space that is empty (no vehicle for that THV), those guests move out and new guests move in with a vehicle.

Park those extra vehicles at the Grandstand or the Springs.

I agree with you to a point. However, the parking spots are not assigned nor directly in front of a given THV. Instead it's sort of like pods. Our area had three THV reached by a common sidewalk which then branched out to the individual THV. On either side of that common walk there were a few parking spots...either 2 on one side and 3 on the other or 3 and 4. Other walks were on either side of those spots.

I think there are a few extra spots....but not enough for everyone to have two vehicles much less three.:scared1:

We actually had to use 2 vehicles since we were 6 adults and 2 children. If we were not using one of the vehicles I would have parked it at SSR.

Even when we came back at 2:30 a.m. there were parking spots available.
