I'm contemplating the arrangements.

Currently people coming would be my parents, my sister (alone, no partner yet), and me and DS9.

So, in the 3 bedrooms available what would you do?

Since I'm just single, without a DH, would I opt for the Bunkbed so DS and I could stay in the same room, but still in separate beds? or should I feel entitled to the master bedroom since i'm the owner of the points... how selfless should I be?:)

you in the master, your parents in the room with the queen, your sister in the room with the "bunk" and your DS9 on the pull out chair or with you!!

We will be going in August with me, DH, DBIL, DS11, DD9.... our arrangements are DH and I in the "master", DBIL in the other "queen", DS in the bunk room, and DD either in the bunk room or on the pull out chair. DD liked the pull out chair when we stayed at AKV, so she may claim it again!

I've learned from experience I will never give up the master BR again!!!

If you dont mind your ds sharing with you. My son still enjoys it on special occasions and I still love it!! Nothing like talking and then watching them drift off to sleep :goodvibes

Since we like to leave the living room free for the night owls or early birds to hang out as everyone has different schedules.

The only question really is who gets the master bedroom. I can feel your dilemma as mom and dad "should" get the master bedroom, but you're putting out for the trip & without you they'd most likely be in a "hotel room"

Talk it over with your mom - I'm sure she'll agree you and possibly son should get the master (he doesn't kick like mine does, does he?) :rotfl2:

LOL, he does kick which is why other than a king bed, sleeping with him is a bit dicey! :lmao:

Keep in mind that the master in the THV only has a queen, not a king. At least, that is what I have read, anyway.

What, we don't actually sleep in trees? We get beds? WOW, thanks DVC.

Let him sleep on the pullout, when he gets older. He can stay in his own studio. Good luck on booking THV. JW

You are correct tkillini :thumbsup2 There is NOT a king bed in THVs.

Master bedroom has queen bed,

second bedroom with queen bed, third bedroom has bunk bed and

living room has pull-out sofa that can sleep 2 and pull-out chair that will

sleep 1.

Op would your sister mind sharing the bunk room with your DS ?
Or does your sister tend to stay up late ? ( or your parents maybe ? ) - -
if so I'd let the night owl take the living room.

Best wishes on your planning pixiedust:

Wow - TOTALLY disagree with the first part - about mom & dad "should" get the master. Bull! If mom & dad buy dvc, then they should get the master when they book the villa with their points. That's not the case here - they're an invited guest, coming along for a free ride.

I say the owner gets the master bedroom, mom & dad get the queen, and sis along with her nephew <g> share the bed with the bunks. That way living room is clear.

Are there any room layout "maps" out there that show how the THV's will be set up?
