Hello!

We're taking a group of 8 to THV over Presidents' Day. I read a post that only one car could be parked at THV. We will probably have 3. Can someone fill me in on how it works?

Also, is it possible to rent a golf cart to get around property? That's the best part of fort wilderness. Wondering if it's possible here.

Thank you!!

Extra cars can park at the Grandstand section and walk to THV. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to the SSR main building.

Golf carts are available for rent at SSR/THV.

The nice thing about THV's is that you are remote.

The problem with THV's is that you are remote.

The Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is located at SSR. While golf carts are available for golfers, I didn't think they would rent them out to for resort guests to use during their stay.

Guess I better double check. When we stayed at THV, our neighbor had a golf cart. Don't know where they got it from, it didn't look fancy so I don't think that they owned it.

It guess it's possible. I just never thought that a regular resort guest would (or could) rent one for their stay. With the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course there, it would make it very convenient to rent one if it's possible.

If anyone finds out, please post! I am very curious about this. It would've awesome if it can be done.

If the golf cart wasn't rented from Disney, maybe they rented it from an off-site company?

If you can rent golf carts for a stay at SSR that's probably the 'best kept secret!"

And it was there several days? I wouldn't be surprised if somebody out golfing decided it would be nice to stop at their THV for lunch or to get drinks. Or they may have brought their own - most people that I know with golf carts don't have anything fancy since they often get parked out at a cart barn that is accessible by all other members with carts.

I just checked and there is an outside rental company that will rent you a cart for $265 per week and they have a model that is Disney approved.

Years ago, before SSR, before DI and when that area was Disney Village Resort they did have golf carts available for rent to get around the resort - including the original THVs. There were charging stations located near each building.

Once DI (Disney Institute) began, they discontinued the golf cart program and chose to keep it that way when SSR replaced all of the original buildings.

The original THVs have all been demolished in favor of the current THVs. Those original THVs were used to house CP CMs once SSR opened back in 2004 and some were damaged when several hurricanes found their way to WDW in the late 2000's and the old THVs were closed until taken down for the current reincarnation.
