Thursday night VGC presentation-just back

I wasn't there, but...
I'm sure the incentive is the same voucher we received at the Doorway to Dreams Event in Chicagoland when we bought BLT points in February.

They said it was for a two-bedroom villa at the event and I was quite excited about it. In reality when you receive your certificate, you are given a web address to see what's available. You have to enter your certificate numbers and then you can see that the exchanges are EXTREMELY limited. IMO, it's like having the worst week ever to trade. To be fair, I only searched winter months, but there were no trades available anywhere warm except Mexico. And then, it was only for "All-Inclusive" resorts, so there were very expensive additional fees for those resorts.

Other places that were available were often studios. Sometimes you were given additional options if your willing to pay extra to "upgrade." Overall, very disappointing.

I'm glad I only thought of this as an extra and was happy with the other incentives we received.
dr&momto2boys,
Thanks for this info. It does set my mind at ease a little bit. The all-inclusive resort sounds great--I hope you have a wonderful time.

We went last night, and it was exactly as kikiq laid out (and thanks for the tip of sitting near the curtain!).

The presentation was set to start at 7, and the Dapper Dans went on at 6:53, so don't just be on time, be early! DeeVee Cee was hilarious at times, very good shtick. I also enjoyed Disney Files' Ryan interviewing the editor of the D23 magazine. However, the rest of the presentation was decidedly overlong and underwhelming. The host guides' stiff and scripted banter reminded me of uncomfortable Oscar presenters. Compared to the two DVC member mixers I attended on the Magic, the number of giveaways was really paltry and nothing particularly work getting exciting over. In short, it was about 70, almost 75, minutes that felt even longer.

Speaking of underwhelming, enough has been said about the incentives, so I won't add my voice to that debate since it would be redundant. They'll have to do better than that to compete with the resale market (which I checked just yesterday for the first time after a long time and was surprised to see that even BCV's rates had dropped considerably).

If you are going at night, please do yourself a favor and dine at the adjacent Yamabuki restaurant, which will be closing on April 11th. All four of us, including the two kids, really enjoyed our meals, and I know I'm not the only one that will miss this eatery. I'm sure its replacement will not match its quality, if most other DL eateries are to judge by.

I went to the 10 AM presentation this morning (Sat.) we did not get the D23 presentation, Instead there was a short interview with one of the producers of The Princess and the Frog. We were then treated to a clip of the movie. It looks beautiful!!! It worth attending to just see that! The rest of the presentation sounds identical to the others. It was also great to see the VGC models. They were stunning!

The presenters also told us that they only had 2 nights remaining in the Mickey Mouse or Pirate Suite.
