DH picked this up at store early this week. I'm usually the first to spit diet soda but this doesn't have a bad after taste at all. And best part is only 10 calories and it is calcium and vitamin C fortified too.

We got the mixed berry flavor.

What is in it to cause it to have calories, do you know?

Can anyone tell me how many carbs are in this?:sunny:

per the 7up website...

Nutrition
Calories: 10
Fat: 0
Sodium: 190mg
Carbs: 3g
Sugars: 2g
Protein: 0

Contains: fruit juice, 15% Daily Value of Calcium and Vitamin C

It combines the light refreshing taste of 7up with 5% fruit juice and natural berry flavors. It is sweetened with Splenda.

Hope that helps!

*MY* pleasure, Kath. Question though - would this be an acceptable drink for Atkins? Or does the fruit juice ruin that?

It is really good. My kids like it too! I'm substituting it sometimes instead of Coke for them, fewer calories! Teens will suck down quite a bit of Coke if it's there, so this is a nice change for them.:earsgirl: :earsboy:

I agree, that's some good stuff. My mom brought some too me a few weeks ago, now it's a grocery staple.

Geetey, I guess if you want to "spend" 3 carbs on it, it's acceptable. There is no added sugar, so no refined carbohydrates.

I think I will just stick with Diet Rite White Grape, no carbs and no aftertaste (to me).

I just tried it today and it is very good! I did not care for diet 7-up but this is a nice change from diet coke or pepsi.

I'm willing to bet the calories are from the natural sugar in the juice in it. :)

And:

3 carbs not bad to me but then I haven't been a carb watcher will be soon I really need to start South Beach as i think I may have PCOS and/or insilin resistance. I know my mom is diabetic type 2 so I really gotta start watching what kind of carbs I eat. I can see if I should start Sunday/Monday I have to get DH support so we don't buy any "high" carb stuff. If we buy noddles it will be mac and cheese for his lunch and I will have something else. :)

Oh and we don't normally buy soda he just bought some on a whim or something. :) We have been drinking kool aid for cost but I'd like to even cut that back or out because it has nearly as much if not the same calories as soda.
