Or forgetting to check all the drawers before we left!! My wife left a
drawer full of clothes the morning of our checkout at the BCV's. Didn't realize it 'til we got home. We had plenty of time before leaving, just forgot to conduct
the normal walkthru at checkout. Needless to say, we went thru the "denial"
that we checked everything before we left and there was no way that "we"
could have left anything behind.

Sure enough, she called on Monday 12/13 (checkout was 12/10) and the clothes had made it to Y&B Lost & Found!! Malinda Jackson was wonderfu!!
Clothes made it here last night (12/16).

Malinda will get a letter!! Anyone have ideas on who (management wise) I could copy on our letter of thanks to Malinda?

Lost & Found is great at WDW. Normally you lose something and you figure youll never see it again. My son lost his Mickey ears while eating lunch in CR. I realized it later and reported it to the front desk. We even went back ourselves to check. Figuring they were gone, I got him another pair when we went back to MK. When we got home a few days later, there was a package from WDW with his orginal ears inside! The Merchandising dept is great too- long story short I had gotten an Italian charm and after a month the enamel popped out. I emailed them including a picture, and within a week I had a new charm. I didnt have a receipt, nor did I have to return the damaged charm. Its pretty rare to find that kind of service anymore! Thanks WDW!

Lost and found at the BWI was great too. Years ago we left my son's handmade mickey blanket behind in the covers. After searching laundry and suitcases, we called BWI and they had it! Mailed it to us nicely wrapped up and washed too! Very accommodating.

Some items folks here might find of interest: An average of 1,000 items a day are turned in to WDW lost-&-found (located in the TTC). L&F knows how big the crowd is on any given day by the number of items turned in! Guest told us they lost a camera lense cap, went to L&F & were invited back to "select one like theirs." There was a huge pile of lense caps for every camera imaginable!

My son lost his wallet during our last trip. We had no idea where. A week or so after we returned home, it showed up from L&F. I called and thanked them. That was pretty cool.

I lost my new watch at DQ in August. I realized after we returned to the Poly, and called DQ. They had it delievered to the Poly by the next morning!
Excellent ethics of the CM who found the watch.....It was an expensive poece!

My son lost his Mickey at ASSports and they sent it out I think this past Wed or Thurs, haven't received it yet but they were soo good on locating it and keeping me updated! Very happy

We've had really good luck with lost & found too. Once my husband left his razor at WL, and we didn't even realize it until after we were home. We called up, they had it and mailed it back to us. Another time he left his hat on Buzz Lightyear, and we ended up getting at back at the lost & found at the TTC.

I MUST ADD MY THUMBS UP AS WELL...

To the AK park lost and found!! We were big "losers" a week ago Sunday. First I lost my Mickey Santa hat I had just bought the day before. Went up to the Lost & Found/Guest Services at the front of the park. The CM, Matt said nothing showed, but to check the end of the day and if it's not there they send everything to the main Lost & Found at the TTC and he gave me the card with a phone number to call.

WELL, as we went back in looking around for the hat, we lost dd's Strawberry Shortcake doll! (I tell her ALL the time not to bring her toys to the parks!! But, sometimes they just have to learn on their own!!) But that was more upsetting. BACK TO THE LOST & FOUND again!! But we waited until the end of the day (I must say I was not confident in finding either one).

Back to see our new friend, MATT, no Santa hat, but he came out with Strawberry Shortcake!! That was such a great feeling!! Really made our day!!

The day we were leaving I called over at the TTC and sure enough they had a Mickey Santa hat and since we couldn't get over there they shipped home for us (no charge)!!

GREAT to know...next time hopefully not too soon...if we lose something I'll definitely have more faith in finding it since WDW's Lost & Found system is just great!! KUDOS to them!!

Well, we must have bad luck because we left BCV the same time and they threw all of our stuff away! See my post below. I am so mad!! I am so glad others have a different experience because it left a bad taste in our mouth.

I don't know what you left behind at BCV or who "threw it away." Doubt L&F would pitch anything of value for a reasonable length of time. I know I'm not a techie, but couldn't find your "post below."
