baking chicken nuggets, tator tots, and creamed corn for dinner!:rotfl2:

Somedays comfort wins! And why does cream corn taste so good with tator tots?

What is your favorite give me some comfort dinner?

Cheesy scalloped ham and potato casserole.

Roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and corn.

Sorry, couldn't pick just one. :)

I can narrow it down to two:

potatoe pie with roast chicken
or
cheese soup with homemade pretzles

enjoy your guily pleasure dinner tonight. I hope there is not a NEED for the comfort food.

I love stouffers mac and cheese!

Warm yeast rolls with butter

Mashed tators with gravy or butter.

Notice the amount of carbs here:rotfl: These foods make me want to snuggle in a blanket on the recliner, turn on a lifetime movie and eat the yummies here. But then after they are eaten, I want to go to sleep:rolleyes1

Scalloped potatoes
Shepard's Pie
Chicken pot pie (homemade, not the gross freezer stuff)

How do you make your cheese soup??? I LOVE cheese soup :)

Homemade mac and cheese

Mashed potatoes

And the old standby - grilled cheese and tomato soup.

None of which I'm having for dinner tonight, darn it!

No need for the comfort food, just that the kids keep forgetting to put their schedules on the calendar and I have to juggle meals like a clown. Thanks for asking though.

Dinner was good though... And since everyone else's comfort foods sound so good, it just may be "comfort week" instead...

My own baked mac & cheese - with a side of french-style green beans (seasoned with garlic salt)..

Mashed potatoes - with or without anything else..

Fried scallops.. YUM!!!!!

Chocolate cake with cherry frosting.. Double YUM!!

Fish & Chips and a side of onion rings. We only have this once a year a a local restaurant here on the Cape. They make the best I've we have ever had. I wouldn't even attempt to make them myself when they taste like that lol..... I have to wait for summer to come before they open!

Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and biscuits. Total comfort food, but I only allow myself to have it about once a year.

In fact I just made it tonight! and I was posting on C.Ann's thread about how comforting it was!
It is like a mac and cheese casserole with diced up chicken breast in it but the sauce is white cream cheese based. Simple but so warm and creamy! :cloud9:

Ha ... We had homemade oven fried chicken strips (sounds decent but I heat up butter in the oven in the baking dish and then put the chicken in it so it's just as bad as doing it on the stove top!!), baked mac and cheese and no veggie!
