Throwing a suprise party at WDW

We're headed to the world in December- 2 families of 4. My best friend will turn 30 during our trip and I'd like to surprise her with a small party. Has anyone done something like this before at WDW? It would probably be in our room (at AS Sports) b/c I don't think it's in our budget to rent out a special room. Also, we're flying down, so I wouldn't be able to pack any large party decorations. Of course, we'd want a cake and balloons. any ideas? Thanks!

Don't think you'd have much of a problem with just cake and ballons. In your room you would have to be mindful of your neighbors so I wouldn't expect the celebration to last past park closing when every one would be heading back to their resorts ready to go to sleep.
How about a restaurant in DTD? I'm sure you can arrange to have a cake delivered to the restaurant and celebrate there.

We're not the "partying" type- so staying up all night with loud music disturbing our neighbors won't be a problem Besides, we have 4 kids all age 3 and under...so we'll try to keep our bedtime pretty early. I like the idea of having cake/balloons delivered at a restaurant.
