I just got a decent rate with Thrifty for a Chrysler Pacifica for October.

Traveling with a 6 and 4 year old plus stroller and suitcases, which is easier

1) to take the shuttle by myself to pick up the car and come back for everyone?

2) to load everything and everyone onto the shuttle and go?

#2. Thrifty shuttles run frequently and it is a 5 minute shuttle ride. The lines move quickly. Just take your family with you. That way you all stick together.

Thanks! Is it one of those shuttles that the luggage goes in the back or will the luggage be piled around us?

My travel dates are 10/18-10/25 8 days for 235.31 total for a Chrysler Pacifica. I used Rentalcarmomma.com. It's the best rate that I could come up with so far for a car large enough to fit the 4 of us and all of our luggage.

Hi, I actually really like Thrifty, and I would suggest that you sign up for a BlueChip membership and then attach your membership to your reservation. That way you can have all your requirements for insurance, gas option, credit card info, etc. all taken care of before you get to the counter. There's also a special line for Blue chip members that will move faster than the regular line.

As for the shuttle - there is a luggage rack when you first enter the shuttle that you or the driver can load your luggage onto.

Have a great time!

I like Thrifty, too.

I get the best Thrifty rates using codes and coupons from Sams Club, so if you are a Sams member, pick up the travel magazine the next time you are in teh club. Costco and BJs have similar coupons, so be sure to check them out, as well.

As to the shuttle, it would be much simpler to bring everybody with you to Thrifty when you get the car, instead of having to coordinate meeting places and timing, and navigate back to the terrminal from the Thrifty facility. Stick together, and as soon as you get the car, you're off to WDW!

Thanks everyone! I signed up for Blue Chip last year when we almost got a car through them so I am all set. I am going to check Sam's prices also for Thrifty. Thanks for the heads up!
