Why bizarre? :confused3

I thought it was great, and I bet that little girl was thrilled to have the chance to meet the Queen. I know I would have been!!!

Bizarre?

Certainly unusual in these times but I think it's fantastic!

Actually not that unusual. The royal family often use public transport, not sure why this is in the paper really. The senior royals just have to make sure they are on different trains/busses etc as they can not travel together.

Bizarre as in could you image the President using public transportation. And the Queen is one of the richest people in the world. Could you see Donald Trump taking a train?

She cancelled/downscaled a birthday celebration due to the recession. She maybe the richest but that is due to mainly the tax payer & she saw sense in not wasting money. The Queen quite often uses public transport, such as the train to get to Sandringham/Balmoral etc. The royal family don't have their own plane.

I think it's a nice gesture. I wish our gov't officials would follow her lead.
