Has anyone recently rented at MCO through thrifty> What was the hold in your credit card. I read that its either $350 or 15% of rental but trying to figure out which one.
I understand that the hold could possibly put you over your credit limit, if you’re close to that limit. And I understand that people who are using *DEBIT* cards might have funds in their account tied up.
But for people that do not meet the conditions I mentioned above, does it matter how much of a hold they put on the card?
I’m familiar with secured cards, but then the credit limit situation applies….

This matters to me because I have a CC with a small limit and was going to use that card. I'm hoping someone will answer the question rather than ask why I'm asking it.
You could call the Thrifty location you're renting from for the absolute answer. Or call the CD company to see if you can temporarily increase your limit.
This type of question comes up often enough that I was honestly curious if there was something I wasn't considering. Also thought that some people were using 'credit card' when they mean 'debit card'...debit cards seem to be a hassle for some types of purchases (car rental, gas, hotel room charges) since they can lock up more funds than expected.
