Can anyone tell me if Thrifty is onsite at MCO or do you have to take a shuttle to their offices? Thanks in advance.......

You take the shuttle to Thrifty (courtesy shuttles located on Level 1 A & B sides) and several other rental companies.

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, L&M and National are on Airport Level 1.

TTFN!

I am not trying to start a debate but I think Thrifty is the worst car rental place in Orlando. Very rude employees, painfully long lines and I rented a car with a dent in it and when I checked back in they blamed it on me even though it was listed on my rental contract in the beginning of my rental period. I will never rent from them again. Pepole bad-mouth Payless but I've never had anything but good luck with them. They are typically cheapest too.

Apply online for a BlueChip account and it is super quick with Thrifty to rent. If the price difference is large between an onsite and offsite rental company then the small inconvenience of riding the shuttle bus IMHO is worth it. I have rented from Thrifty and have been happy with their service. ANY rental company can have rude employees. Sure the onsite is a smidge faster but the offsite rental location is max 5 minute ride. When you check in with Thrifty they will give you a map of a car that you will note any previous damage to the car. Any small thing you notice write it on the form and if you have a digital camera and the damage seems significant take a picture for your records. Decline all the insurance and bring proof of your insurance from home and don't feel pressured by any sales pitches. I have had the insurance sales pitch for pretty much every rental agency.

I rented an economy car from Thrifty last weekend in DFW and received a late model Dodge Neon. It was clean and well maintained. This is definitly not a luxury car and wasn't expecting one. For $42 including all taxes i couldn't have been happier. Avis and National wanted in the $60 range for the exact same car!

I agree 100%. The shuttle ride is very short and the price difference over Alamo/Dollar for my trip was $65. Totally worth it for a <5 minute bus ride.
