Thrifty Car Rental Experiences?

We are using them in two weeks picking up at MCO. We have always used Avis or Alamo in the past. Have experiences been good, bad, ok?

Although we have not rented from Thrifty in Orlando, my DH has rented from them several times on business trips with no problems. The Mousesavers site has changed the text of their comments on Thrifty to note that they have received many positive comments about them in the last year. I'll be trying them out in about 2 weeks! Their rate was considerably less $$ than the next lowest price I found!

Wow,my rate just dropped from $115 to $63 for a 3 day intermediate rental That's quite a difference!! I wonder if they push the insurance?? Anyone know?? Taking a shuttle to Thrifty really doesn't look that bad right now

From what I've heard.....all the rental car agencies at MCO push the insurance. Take proof of insurance with you or use your American Express card (my AMEX has insurance on rental cars).

I felt their service was below average, and the car was poor. I felt the car shake as I drove along I-4. Quite scary. The brakes thumped as well. Cigarette burns on the seats. Broken handle on the convertible top.

I wouldn't rent from them again.

I have had good experiences with both National and Avis. Avis has been the best, though.

I just booked my economy rental car thru the Thrifty website.They offered a 15% discount for bookings from Dec.1-17th..My rental is December 6-10th and the price is certainly right!
A1A1 sorry to hear you had a bad experience with your rental car.
I hope to come back with something positive to say about Thrifty.
I'd like to read more reviews on Thrifty but if not everybody can read mine when I get back......
