Just three more weeks and all being well me, mom and my sis will be hitting Vancouver and Chilliwack for just over a week. We have organised a bus tour of the city for our second day, and my sis is spending two nights up in Chilliwack where her job is going to be.
Does anyone have any particular recommendations for other things to definitely do, or anything pieces of advice before we head out? I'd be so grateful. Also, I can't wait to hear the accent again. I'm so jealous of all your lovely accents.
There's also a possibility that a job may open up in the same place that my sis is going to work, so I might be able to work there too in a year or so. I'm hoping we like it out there cos we want it to be permanent as a lot of the folks on this board will already know from previous posts.
Incidentally when I was recently at WDW I walked around with a canada flag luggage tag hanging off my backpack so I was regularly mistaken for Canadian - shame that!!! (not).
Anyway, love to hear from you folks, so please reply and cheer me up as I have a nightshift to do tonight and then I start a new job in the morning. ugh.

But compared to us in Calgary at -20C their +5 seems balmy to us. Vancouver is a beautiful city and some not miss things are Stanley Park and a walk around the seawall, Drive to Whistler Mtn on the Sea to Sky Hwy, afternoon of walking, shopping and eating on Robson St, visit to Granville market (very trendy), trip up the Gouse Mtn gondola. You will have a great time (Chilliwack is not too exciting)in the Couv just bring your umbrella!!!
