We are heading to Hilton Head for spring break in three weeks. This will be our first trip there. We have a dedicated 2BR reserved (according to our ressie on the dvcmemberes site). Does that mean the 2nd bedroom will have two beds vs a bed / sofa arrangement?
My parents will be joining us, and this will be their first time staying at a DVC resort, too.
We know there are some things to do at the resort and also in Hilton Head. What are some of your favorite things to do at the resort?
We are also interested in making a day trip to Charleston, particularly to go to Fort Sumter. Have any of you done that, and if so, what do you recommend in terms of how long it takes to get there (so we know if we want to plan for the morning or noon ferry to Fort Sumter) and whether we should consider hiring a transport to take the six of us so we don't have to drive two cars. I'm not even sure how far it is and whether it will be too much to try to do for a day trip.
My folks live just outside of Savannah, so we're not interested in doing a day trip to Savannah (LOL - hey mom and dad, drive to hilton head for a night so we can go back to your house for our day trip - LOL).
What about a grocery store? Is there one near the resort? If so, what is it? Kroger? Publix? something else?
I feel inadequately prepared for this trip, and since msg boards got blocked at work, I have to do all my DIS related planning on the weekends!

I know you guys have lots to offer - I have read some of the older HHI-adoration threads and need to review them - we've had this trip scheduled from the first day we could book it and it has snuck up on me.
